Beautiful song I choke up when I hear this song but for different reasons life was simpler then no mobile phones back then

to Mohawk and Clair: I was a teen when this came out. I always heard it as the beautiful, innocent love that nourishes a child's heart to have a crush on an affectionate adult who is like an aunt/uncle. When I was 19 a 5 yr old boy was in love with me and wanted to marry me when he grew up. It was totally innocent and beautiful, and good for us both. I say bah humbug to everyone who finds creepiness in this sweet song! It is a particular delight to hear from the adult Clair that this love was everything I believed when I heard the song. It is on one of my Emotional Rescue playlists, and cheers me on gloomy days. Love and blessings! P.S.
