reminds me of how the cleans ruined vanna's new album. cleans are fine, but in a small amount like in their old stuff. when its littered throughout the song just for the sake of "changing their sound" it sounds unnecessary and annoying 

I honestly do not get any of you who say this doesn't sound like Gideon.  This is Gideon.  The singles that have been released are matured and better Gideon.  Stop acting entitled to whatever you believe you're entitled to and jam the fuck out to these awesome songs.

This is the first Gideon song I've heard of, what albums of theirs should I check out or should I listen to all of them 

So sad...I just can't feel this as much as their last 2 CDs 😢

Everyone in the scene has an opinion, no one person is right or wrong it's just that "your opinion" Gideon is bad ass in their own right. When Sick to your guns and For Today brought more clean vocals into their music fans voiced their displeasure but ultimately they gained more fans. I have been following Gideon for a while now and while I don't think this is ground breaking stuff I think it's good in its own right. Hopefully the rest of the CD will be as good or better than this song.

Huge Gideon fan. Been with the jams since the start. Just listened to this right after "Survive," and I'm definitely diggin this song more. I really appreciate their old work, and this situation reminds me of how I felt when Volumes was putting up a couple songs from their new album "No Sleep." I couldn't get "into-it" nearly as fast as I did "The Concept of Dreaming," but after a few solid play throughs, it grows. You begin to appreciate the meanings behind the songs and it clicks. Amped up for the debut of CALLOUSED though. Not to mention, everyone in this band is cool as hell to kick with.

VERSE 2 !!!!!!

What's the deal with people not digging it? Sounds like Gideon to me. Catchy, heavy, bouncy, B flat tuning. Same as it's always been, just new songs. I'm curious. What does it lack for you guys? Serious question, by the way. Not trying to be a jerk.

Well if you listen to this album with a subwoofer it's wayyy less heavy than the last 2 albums, Costs and Milestone.

The last 40 seconds gave me hope for the rest of the album.

Not QUITE as heavy as their last 2 albums, but hey, bands change. Kinda sad that they went away from their vvery instrumental sound, where they had long lapses of Slow Metal Breakdowns, but hey, its one song, we'll see. Still pretty good, but sounds like every other metalcore band right now, not Gideon...

Been a Gideon fan for a couple years and pretty stoked for this album. I'm liking how they changed it up a bit and I don't mind the cleans, Still Alive is one of those songs that I think has amazing cleans as well though this song implemented them more. Music is still heavy they just changed it up a bit. Floral hoodie bundle preordered

Idk what people are whining about.  These guys work so freaking hard to give us great music.  I personally love the song.  

They've always had cleans. I laughed when I heard "verse 2" but in a good way. I'm not huge on this, but I'm still excited for the album.

EHHHHHHHHHHHH it was okay. I'm happy to hear they are getting more creative with their guitar work, but overall the patterns are decent, the cleans were meh, and the breakdown was unexciting. 3/5 :D

The squealy breakdown thing at 1:10 reminds me of the breakdown in Bed of Nails by Texas in July, and coincidentally bed of nails is a part of the lyrics in the song, funny. Pretty good song tho
