George Thorogood And The Destroyers - New Boogie Chillun Lyrics
When I first into town people
I was comin' down Hasting Street
Heard everybody talkin' about
Henry's Swing Club
I decided I'd drop in there that night
Everybody was drinkin' bourbon, scotch, beer, and wine
And feelin' just fine
Said let's go people
Get boogie tonight
Well, the little red rooster
Told the little red hen
Meet me down at the barn
Bout half past ten
You bring the whiskey, child
We get together gonna rock it tonight
We gonna boogie
Yeah, boogie til the break of dawn
Boogie Chillen
Boogie Chillen
Well, the mama told papa
The night before last
Boogie here daddy
He was runnin' outta gas
Boogied last night and the night before
Fly back here we gonna shake it some more
We gonna boogie
Yeah, boogie til the break of dawn
Boogie Chillen
Now one night I was layin' down
I could hear my mother and father talkin'
Hear my mama tell my daddy
Let that boy boogie woogie
It's in him, and it's got to come out
Lord I felt so good
Well I boogie woogie all night long
Yeah I did
Now when I'm feelin' cool and good, baby
Like I feel right now
I let my guitar say what I say
Boogie Chillen
Boogie Chillen
Boogie Chillen
Well, you might be old
About ninety years
You ain't too old baby
To shift them gears
I was a little boy
In my future little address
Jumped right in, man I boogied a mess
I had a boogie baby
Yeah, boogie til the break of dawn
Boogie Chillen
Boogie Chillen

George Thorogood And The Destroyers New Boogie Chillun Comments
This must be in the top 10 videos in youtube. Everybody's amazing, but just how magnetic was John Lee Hooker, man, what a deep presence,....Boogie on people! On a side note, I'm reading some comments about today's artists (Ariana Grande etc) not being up to the task, but you lknow what people, I think they're just misguided. Deep down I'm sure many of them would sing along with Jonh Lee and they'd be great given the right circumstances. My point is many of today's stars are very talented but for whatever reason they are wasting their talents on soulless stuff...
FFs even icould have came out and do you feel alright or yay yay yay !!Pointless waste of talent
Yeeeeeeeeeeooooooowwww
Thorogood Kickin Ass with Sir Hooker it just dont get no better. Rock It Bro Peace Charlie

dicember 7th 2019 from Argentina!! Boogie baby!!!!
LOL! Not really sure why George was the one to MC this, but he did good. His limited guitar licks let his guests shine all the brighter, and his enthusiasm and attitude are always positive and contagious! And to give George his due... he's paid his dues in the music business and it was a pleasure to see him rock 'em out one by one.
A lot of talent on the same stage. Rock and roll at its best.
Ttakeit whehe
love u GEORGE,,, BLESSINGS
Willie Dixon too!!
This entire concert blows my mind- all the greats playing with George and the Destroyers- what a great show! I have watched this over and over and it is one of the BEST in my eyes. I hope to see George and the boys make it back to my neck of the woods next year😉
Seen the boys last summer in Orillia you were not allowed to dance I had floors well I danced sucurity tried to give me a space to dance they were good they had a good laugh I wasn't sitting down with George playing are you kidding me
Albert Collins! Was playing just like this in 1966 in London, England.
The soul and vibes left from this are still reverberating through the astral plaine
this is music for the "gods" so to speak...
So much greatness in a small package, real music.. real everything
Gawd do i miss acts like this, this is stellar!
Screw Nicky Minaj and Ariane Grande, THIS, this is music..
j0hnn13K I appreciate your intensity though I’m sure fans of those ladies can groove pretty hard to their kind of music. Any music that moves someone’s soul to outer space is ok by me!
@Meat Fancy Oh i do agree with that notion, and while Ariane can sing very well, i'm just not a fan of her music, and Nicky is... well to me, is just annoying lol but those are personal preferences regardless. I wouldnt fault someone for liking the music, personal tastes, i just prefer musician-musicians if you catch my drift :)
j0hnn13K I absolutely catch your drift
I've never seen Thorogood. But man I wish I had, that Boy ROCKS !
George Thorogood, I heard on the radio is coming to my city ! Yeah Baby you know it.

Sorry 'bout my wet spot. Maybe not. about 3:40 Georges spin move OMG. I just wet myself again. George knows when to turn it down and when to turn it up.. :-) I cant say enough about John Lee Hooker.

Hi George ! I have a friend in France : Archie Lee ! Do you know Carl Wyatt ?
I was there --- my first Geo Thorogood concert and lots of other Blues Masters performed too
Who is on harp?
I'm trying to imagine Mr Hooker stepping onto the stage when I was in my blues band twenty years ago. I'd have just about fainted with the sheer joy and love and pride of it.

WoW the King of boogie is on the stage ...
The crowd seemed a bit too trailer park to really understand him...no offense to trailer park dwellers but they're not rocket scientists huh?..
It doesn't make us bad people.
John Lee hooker?...wow!
And, as if that wasn't enough, there's Albert Collins. Lawdy.
Gracias, muy buenos temas!
Elvin Bishop beaks in about 6:14 along with John Lee, George and the Destroyers. 45+ years with all of them...
Hammond, Albert Collins, pure talent...
Is that Willie Dixon? 7:12
Unreal!
I'm a fan of George Thorogood have also a t shirt George Thorogood & the Destroyers BUT the best version of Boogie chillen 2 is for me still the one with Cannet Heat and Allan Wilson (harmonica r.i.p) Recording in 1970 Try it out folks. I also have this Vinyl My age ? 66 that's why a now.
One great musician excitedly introducing a legend... Doesn't get much better than this. It's things like this that make me realize everything's gonna be alright. Troubles are sure to come, but they can be overcome.
When I said "introducing a legend," I should have said "introducing legends." Even better.
Just go to clarksdale ms. And support the blues.
Wonder if George Thorogood has carpel tunnel. Fantastic guitar player.
John Lee singing at the mic, no guitar, great concert.
Badassed
When John Lee says "Play it!" , you play it!
Was browsing my concert ticket stubs recently and was reminded that this concert we went to was part of an MTV special. So glad to get to reminisce from 35 years ago!
Should watch the whole concert from beginning to end - so cool as each guy came out one by one and then altogether for this song
legends
I FEEL ALLRIGHT WITH THIS MUSIC !!!
Lee Hooker : DIESE STIMME ist göttlich !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Génial Grandiose
My Dad was drinking buddies with George Thorogood back in the mid to late 70s, and has quite a few tales to share, not always glamorous, decorative, or legal... but quite interesting to say the least.
If Thorogood liked to "drink alone," a lot of crazy things happened once he had company.
Thorogood and John Lee; this is the stuff, man...
Great, thx for this tale..
when music had HEART SOUL AND GENIUS PLAYERS.
STIMMT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The King Of Boogie Mr John Lee Hooker......

Wouah
I first heard George Thorogood in 1977 when a sample copy of his first record was sent to the record store I was working in. I didn't think he would make it big, but I loved it.
Elvin Bishop😎
Génial superbe version
George you ROCK💥
If you can't boogie, you shouldn't be here!
