I agree with Jennifer. Strait is such a by-the-numbers singer. Solid with his material, but nothing more; a lot of his - mostly more recent - songs also suffer from lazy songwriting. Plus, he hasn't added anything innovative to his catalogue in the last 25 years.
A great voice, but massively underused throughout his career.
