This is really good pure country music.  I have never known much about Melba Montgomery but she sounds good singing with George Jones.  She is truly country and they have a great song they are doing.  Most associate Tammy with George including me but this was a great song and a great duet.

I'm not here to moan about country music of today, all music evolves, sooner or later, The country music I grew up to like is this type, with George Jones and Melba Montgomery. I guess the music fans who were around decades ago would be complaining about this kind of singing and running it down. I'm just grateful I can find the music I like here on YouTube and it lives again every time I press play. This is my cousin Melba Montgomery and George Jones. This is real country music. Melba Montgomery's brother Eral 'peanutt' Montgomery wrote songs for George and Tammy and many others. I also knew Charlie Louvin who did duets with cousin Melba Montgomery.
