George Jones - I Can't Get Used To Being Lonely Lyrics
I've got to get used to being lonely
And get used to knowin', darling, that you're gone
'Cause how can I prepare myself without you
When I can't get used to being all alone.
And say this is the last day of the year
'Cause how can I look forward to tomorrow
When I can't get used to knowing I've lost you.
For things to change I must help to change them
'Cause on my own I don't have faith in me
But loneliness is all I have without you
'Cause I can't get used to being this lonely.

The best what a voice rip george
ABSOLUTE THE BEST EVER, BAR NONE
good one
George, I wish we could have a drink together. Love you man.
Pure Country music with feeling, that's what is missing in today's so called Country, it has no heart or feeling, todays 'Country' singers want to be pop singers. there will never be another Possum..or Luke The Drifter (Hank sr) or another Okie from Muskogee Merle Haggard,, The man in Black Johnny Cash is gone..and those singers carrying on the real deal are getting old, Alan Jackson, George Strait, etc.. it's a damned shame.
"JONESIN"
Miss this man and his music. Great memories. Cause i can't get used to being this lonely.

Doctor do ,,I think it's tv that did it,, when we were kids it was the radio, and we didn't watch all that dancing and shaking
I am a very good condition of your songs
@ nauort23 I agree with your comments about why music and talent has gone this way, but I disagree with who's to blame. Audiences have always never really understood talent. Yesterdays audiences were lucky because they were taught to understand talent and why it was important to appreciate this by the strong leaders and teachers in the music industry who wanted to educate people and show them what was good, like a good teacher. Today's music industry doesn't want to teach, it panders, because it's too easy and it's 110% about money and nothing else. Most of the industry is run by failed musicians (and there's a reason they failed). Also parents, even those with good taste in music, don't feel the need to pass it on. I've heard it all too often 'Ahh, my kid wouldn't like my music , I don't want to embarrass him in front of his friends' etc. We suddenly think we don't have the skills to teach them what good music is, or that it's not our place because our music is not current. That's the problem we have to get over. It doesn't matter what they like, but at least parents should show them what's GOOD first, they nearly always come back to it later when they make their own minds up. If they don't get that help then they have nothing to come back to anyway, and the degradation goes on to the next generation. My dad made me know what good music is, he also taught and helped me to learn maths and English and to use proper grammar and no short cuts. When did the general public think it should all be up to the schools and media to teach music?
nice song, love the words!!!

the greatest singer in history. George Jones
+George Wriston Well that might be a bit of an exaggeration, but he sure was terrific!!
def the greatest in C O U N T R Y
I agree 100%.. THE BEST
when you think of real country music there is only 1 voice
George Wriston Absolutely! 😍💙
NOW THAT'S WHAT A REAL COUNTRY MUSIC SINGER SOUNDS NONE OF THAT TAYOR SWIFT SHIT?
If you don't live the HARD life, you cant sing about the HARD life, that's whats wrong with the " these modern guys " and " gals " RIP George Jones & Country Music..............
Harmony by Don Adams (The Jones Boys)
George was a high school drop-out. School has very little to do with musical talent. Half of Nashville probably have masters degrees in music at this point. Still, you can't complain about "these modern guys'" lack of talent; it's today's AUDIENCES who do not demand or reward talent--or even know what it is. Producers are only going to back what sells--and that goes for Nashville or Memphis just as well as New York or Hollywood.
Rest in peace, George. Thank you for everything. The world will never see anyone like you again...
