George Harrison - The Day The World Gets 'Round Lyrics
The day the world gets 'round
to understanding where it is,
Using all it's found,
to help each other, hand in hand
to understanding where it's gone
Losing so much ground
killing each other, hand in hand
Such foolishness in man
I want no part of their plan - OH NO
If you're the destructive kind
Now I'm working from day to day
As I don't want to be like you
I look for the pure of heart
But Lord, there are just a few
who bow before you,
in silence they pray,
Oh how they pray for the day the
world gets 'round
Using all they've found
To help each other, hand in hand
The Day The World Gets 'Round

George Harrison The Day The World Gets 'Round Comments
This was my favorite LP of Georges until he got the Traveling Wilburys together. Every song on it was a keeper.
Adoro essa canção, a letra é muito linda.
"The day the world gets round to understanding where it's been, killing each other hand in hand, I want no part of their plan..."
One of my favorites. I miss his presence so much!
This is so much better than John's Imagine . In fact better than anything that any of the Beatles have done!
INDEED!
Super Bella
This is it!
Жалобная песня!
Uno de los más extraordinarios temas de George Harrison.
Sri Krishna bless you Sir Harri'sSon, -what makes his music so wonderful, is that dear George had something to say that is most deep and connects the heart space to Truth we all feel in lucid moments. Dang, feeling a tear as my missing him so much i feel more as life grows on. Thank you all
Sublime
This song applies more and more to this world as time goes by. Such a shame that people most likely won't take heed.
At that time - 2 days after the Bangladesh concerts- he was still touched by Grace Divine. Superb composition.
Cat stevens did a cover of this for those intersted
I was disappointed with Yusuf Islam's cover. I would've expected him to change the song arrangement, refresh it, adapt it to his vocal range...wathever. Instead he hasn't added anything new to it. Of course, improving on George's interpretations is difficult, because intensity is his strong point. But vocally, I'm looking forward to a true great voice to cover some of his classical ballad compositions, such as "Who can see it", and "That is all".He was such a great melody writer! Musically I think that "The Day the World gets 'round" is greater than "The Long and Winding Road", or at least in the same league.
@Li Lise
greater than long and winding rod IMHO
cat stevens is a muslim and is part of a religion that does the opposite of this song islam promotes death violence and hate
Think Harrisons songs could of been so much better. On his early albums the arrangements and production were to big and IMO his music got lost in them. Should of stayed to a more raw guitar groove (like with the Beatles) without the saxes etc.
+Linda Forgiarini These conversations can be a lot of fun and inspiring, but not when people start to get abusive. It's sad because the Beatles, especially George's music was meant to lift people higher, not for people to get petty about.
How Do You Sleep :)
+Linda Forgiarini You don't think your original comment was rude? are you having a laugh? I guess your not very tactful as well as being a dumb moron. You insulted me and that is why I'm insulting you. If you would of correctly read my original comment you would see that I was discussing Mr Harrison's music from my own humble perspective. Now on a last note Harrison on his insert on his re-released ATMP album says that he too thought the production on this album was far too big. So the great man in many respects (when he was alive) agrees with what I thought when I made my original comment. My comment was in no way intended to be authoritative but rather one of humble opinion. Now do me a favour and get off my case!!!
+bunchlead apart from I am the Walrus eh?
+Mike Hunt Meaning?
I love this song. Miss George.
And Ringo! Expecially Ringo...
this song reminds me of across the universe
says it all
And Paul mccartney
this song along who can see it,that is all,ect should be on his "best of" albums or in the future
prove it didn't :)
prove it
it did!!! (again!) just not here!!! :)
You're absolutely right. This was a great album.
George's voice was in top form on the LITMW album. His guitar playing was also excellent.
Thank you George, for teaching us to open our eyes.
@twinoak170 Woooaaahhhhhh... That would be amazing if that happened.
It's a shame it can't.
I bought this album when I was in high school, love it. A lot of the songs are so sad from after he and Pattie split up.
Some influence from Across the Universe, I'm sure!
George's lyrics were so beautiful, I just wish he enunciated them better in his songs after All Things Must Pass and before Cloud Nine. He had a tendency to slur the words a bit. That's pretty much my only criticism of this genius, and it's not a big one. The reason I say it is because I never thought much of this song until I read the lyrics.
Just think about it...John Lennon and George Harrison in the same band.
I have long strayed away from 'religious concepts' ... but I have never strayed away from George's passionate music and his genuine heartfelt lyrics -
Nothing's gonna change my world.
Absolutely beautiful. Says it all doesn't it.
It needs a video with Lord Krishna pictures, Haribol!
so poignant, so simple, so lovely, so sad.
exelente cancion!
