I certainly feel that Gene Watson should've already been inducted into the Hall Of Fame. He's definitely one of a kind and has a voice like no other. I've always loved Gene Watson. There are so many singers in my opinion that's been inducted into the Hall of Fame and don't even belong there. Here's just one of our amazing true country singers.

probably because he is still out there putting on amazing performances and doesn't look like he's slowing down anytime soon, and his youtube live videos continue to get huge numbers, so he's probably not in HOF yet cuz he ain't done making his mark on country music history

Gene Watson recorded “Before the Next Teardrop Falls” in the 60’s and I had a hard time finding a recording of it. Contacted Gene and he hardly remembered. For my opinion he sang that song so much better than Freddie Fender. Gene Watson has never lost his perfect voice over all these years when so many have. He is terrific! Calgary needs to have him visit again!
