I can relate! One reason I enjoy Marvin Gaye so much is because of his range in presentation of emotions in a song! His love songs have been my life! His pain has been my life as well! When I hear this it reminds me of a time my ex and I were alone in her room. I recall her image while she stood at the window which was the size of a double door with an entrance to life outdoors. The rain was pouring! As I gazed at her beauty after we made love, it was something about that rain that spoke to me. "Enjoy this moment because it may not last." Damn rain! Now all I remember is the shadow of her smile 20 years later!
