I completely understand actions being taken for artists that steal material and pass it off as their own, but this is not one of those cases when considering Blurred Lines. The bass line isn’t the same at all, the percussion sounds kind of similar, and the melody is completely different. This isn’t like Queen’s Pressure vs Ice Ice Baby. Can’t believe Pharrell got sued for this.

I agree with the ones that say that there is only a slight similarity in the instrumentals between Got to Give it Up and Blurred Lines. I mean, I've had a lot of experience with music over the course of 11-12 years, and I feel like the two are different enough to be enjoyed as their own separate entities. I do.
