Gary Numan - Me! I Disconnect From You (Live) Lyrics

The alarm rang for days
You could tell from conversations
I was waiting by the screen
I couldn't recognise my photograph
Me, I disconnect from you

I was walking up the stairs
Something moved in silence
I could feel his mind decaying
Only inches away from me
And I disconnect from you

Please don't turn me off
I don't know what I'm doing outside
Me and the telephone that never rings
If you were me, what would you do?
Me, I disconnect from you

This is great, great, great!!! Great electronic punk-pop led by the eerie gorgeous Gary Numan...
This track was revolutionary in its time... he still performs it more muscularly today... Genius

Ced Sharpley's drumming is amazing. Totally irreplaceable rhythm section of Cedric and Paul Gardiner!

    R.... C....

Paul and Ced now sadly passed, but it was Cedric that made these songs - not fancy drumming, but the man had so much FEEL and GROOVE it provided the 'human' heart to what was pretty cold music, and it's that contradiction that makes it special for me. Current drummer does a very good job with Ced's parts though. Big shoes to fill!

This man is a song writing genius, I don't think he gets the recognition for it.

Sad thing is I don't think the kids of today can see at all how to do it, they just simply don't know how to, I saw Gary last year at the O2 academy in Newcastle, fucking brilliant
