Gary Moore - Murder In The Skies Lyrics
Time was running out for all on board
Soaring up through the shadows of night.
High above the clouds the engines roared
This would be their final flight.
Two hundred and sixtynine innocent victims have died.
Murder in the skies
Came without a warning.
Murder in the skies
Black September morning.
Murder in the skies.
Time was running out for everyone
Flying over the Sea of Japan.
Death was following close at hand.
The russians have shot down a plane on its way to Korea.
Two hundred and sixtynine innocent victims have died.
Murder in the skies
Came without a warning.
Murder in the skies
Black September morning.
Murder in the skies
Came without a warning.
Murder in the skies
Black September morning.
Murder in the skies
Came without a warning.
Murder in the skies
Black September morning.
Murder in the skies
Came without a warning.
Murder in the skies
Black September morning.
Murder in the skies.
Murder in the skies.
Murder in the skies.
Murder, Murder in the skies.
Murder in the skies.

the MH-17 was the same story the russians shot down a plane on its way to Maelysia
Fantastic gary moore.
Yes, razorjules, I totally agree. Gary Moore was truly a guitar-monster legend. So sad he's gone along with Phil Lynott, his buddy from Thin Lizzy (where Gary honed his craft).
May have posted this before. But I saw Gary open up for Def Leppard in 1983. He kicked their ass! RIP Gary. Your blues stuff was even better.
Sea of East sea~~!!!

how he imitates the plane crash with the guitar at the end of the song is awesome
Probably the baddest song Gary ever wrote, absolutely heavy with killer shredding! Amazing for 1983 when the masses were listening to mostly crap.
RIP Gary
Can't say this is the "full version" since it wasn't on the original LP and you can spot the edit where the opening solo got tacked on to the beginning of Murder. Someone was trying to do another End of the World but it doesn't count if you don't put it on the LP. BTW, Murder is my fav Moore song...just barely edging out Out In The Fields, Shapes of Things, and Military Man.
This actually sounds exactly like the version I have on my original vinyl album as it was released here in the UK. I believe the intro was chopped off the US version.
Bad luck America, my copy has the intro solo.
Inside Cable News
This _is_ the full version as it appeared on the original UK LP, it opened up side 2.
Sweet nostalgia - Used to listen in 1986
Garrrrrryyyyy. what a player that man was.
Loved him.
One of the most terrifying guitar solo's of all time.
Talk about playing it like you mean it!
Stunning!
Owned this LP in 1984 and don't remember the intro-solo. Vividly remember a local Pittsburgh, PA rock station hosting a weekly Friday late night nationally syndicated show called "Metal Shop" that played lots of Gary Moore during this time.
Metal Shop was Great! We have NO Heavy Metal stations anymore. Modern music SUCKS!
Shawn Chase, A.P Magee hosts a Heavy Metal station on Mondays and Sundays. Mondays from 5-7 Eastern time. And Sundays 3-6 Eastern time. Obscure Metal from the 80's on Monday, and Thrash, Grindcore on Sundays.
This was off of the remastered re released version of Victims of the future.
you probably had the US version which removes the solo :(
Wonder why the US version left the solo off the beginning? It's not like the Americans don't appreciate shredding lol.
brutal RIP gary moore thanks for your music from 80
Sweet nostalgia
this man was a fucking genius \m/
le solo de malade,j'adore toujours l'écouter
+Koryo Poomse Nostalgie d air guitar dans ma chambre d'ado sur l intro et le solo ;)
qualidade MP3 BOLADA !! ... matou o áudio.
my idols idol. love gary moore
Definitely among my favorite Gary Moore songs, if not my favorite. His heavy stuff kicked ass.
Did it happen again? :-( R.I.P. people on flight MH17
R.I.P GARY MOORE!!!!!!
I still can't believe that Gary Moore is gone. My heart is in many ways changed, but for the better. Gary made me a better guitarist and made the world more colorful. His talent will never be seen again! The sounds he could get from his 1961 Fender Strat and that 1959 Gibson Les Paul he got from Peter Green...outstanding!!! Gary rocked hard and played from the heart! Young axe slingers take note! Study Gary Moore and his guitar legecy, for he to will make you a better musician. R.I.P. Gary.
That's Neil Carter singing the bridge isn't it? He sounds a lot like Gazza.
I haven't heard this for a long time. Thanks! My favorite era of his. I know, not as dignified as his latter day blues stuff but it blew my mind at the time. Still does.
The fire in his playing was.....what's the word I'm looking for.
@xismellgoodx I'm famiar with Noddy Holder. He sang (or screamed) with the band Slade for a number of years. He now does acting. I had no idea he did any backing for Gary Moore.
@Marshallsatten I done get it?
@nisanus Are you serious? Noddy?
reunite with phill and rock the halls of hevan forever mate
RIP. Meanest Stratocaster sound I ever heard! He's hitting the riffs so hard, the trem is bending the strings down giving that mental "Myonnnggg" sound to the riff chords.
Rock in Peace Gary:-((
This song is a very strong political song about the russians who shot down a korean Jumbo jet in 1983. It brought us all pretty close to a nuclear war back then.
R.I.P. Gary.

Kick ass early 80's Hard rock before hair metal fucked everything up.Sounds kinda like early "Projects in the Jungle" era Pantera Dimebag used to shred like this
Ingenious song.
I found out about it while researching NATO lol - it was inspired by the Shotdown and Crash of KAL Flight 007.
fucking great!
thanks to Gary Moore...
Gary is on fire here on this record. I found out about him because of Vivian Campbell. His tone here is so incredible, and his vocals are very passionate as well.
