Never saw this one coming... Two of my favourite singers coming together in creating such a deep and heartfelt song!!! Both artists have just come out with such beautiful pieces over the years. I cannot completely express how much of a blessing they each have been to me throughout my walk with Jesus.. My journey with Christ has had most of their songs as the soundtrack.

I love Garrels. He originally came from the town I live in now. He's so good, especially live. I hate to say this, but this song is bland compared to his other works...

Really? It reminds me of songs similar to this one, one good example being "Children Song," which I actually enjoyed thoroughly.

I do think they have less in a manner, but I think the word "bland" might be a little too subjective? I think the simplicity of songs as such tend to depend more on the lyrics, which this surely does imo (I just listen to musical though, lol).

Don't want to make you like it, but if you like either of these artists I'd assume a song such as this is sort of the cream of the crop (which it is imo)

@Robert Farnham It is not the simplicity that gets me. In fact, I kind of mean the opposite. This feels over-produced and much much more similar to contemporary Christian music than most of Josh's work. He has such a unique style and sound. I don't mind artists evolving over time but not when it adapts sounds of mass-produced music. I mean, other than the voice being definitively Garrels, would you be surprised if the song was Hillsong, Chris Tomlin, or Matthew West?

​@Outdoor Dad Ah, well, sorry to misunderstand! & your point is taken, I actually much prefer the Children's Song produced many years ago than the re-produced version being releasing now. Kind of upsetting to see a favorite song of mine sort of ruined.

Also, I wonder if you will like this song anymore in the future? I don't particularly care for much of contemporary Christian music, but there are some in that genre/niche that have grown on me....and sometimes I'm completely disappointed in a new album, only to return to it months later with a new appreciation of it. Lol. Cheers though.
