Garland, Judy - I Can't Give You Anything But Love Baby Lyrics

I can't give you anything but love, baby
That's the only thing I've plenty of, baby
Dream awhile, scheme awhile
You're sure to find
Happiness, and I guess
All those things you've always pinned for

Gee, I'd like to see you looking swell, baby
Diamond bracelets, Woolworth's doesn't sell, baby
Til that lucky day, you know darn well, baby
I can't give you anything but love

Gee, I'd like to see you looking swell, baby
Diamond bracelets, Woolworth's doesn't sell, baby
Til that lucky day, you know darn well, baby
I can't give you anything
I can't give you anything
I can't give you anything but love

Garland, Judy I Can't Give You Anything But Love Baby Comments
  1. B.... T....

    😿😘

  2. B.... ....

Garland had the greatest timing of anyone in the business. This was a perfect example.

  3. b.... ....

This is beautiful and flawless no one can touch judy garland and no one ever will

  4. S.... O....

Her breathy delivery on the last couple lines are devestating

  5. E.... M....

The crime of the 20th Century wasn't the kidnapping of the Lindbergh baby, or the Brown/Goldman murders. The real crime of the century was not filming Judy's concert at Carnegie Hall.

  6. S.... L....

Absolutely no one on this Earth can or could sing this great song better than Judy could ! yes she was a Class by herself incomparable and unforgettable ! Perfection set to song and still unequalled to this day RIP to one of the greatest Singers Actors and Entertainers who ever lived …. Her Legacy will thankfully live on forever RIP to the Great Judy Garland ! Laura Daitch-Landgraf xx

  7. E.... S....

I was playing the Carnegie Hall record and when this came on, I closed my eyes and started slow dancing with myself

  8. B.... R....

I love you mom. Please stop hurting me.

  9. B.... R....

She reminds me of my wonderful late grandmother. She could sing like a dream and was my heart growing up. I miss her.

  10. R.... S....

My very favorite arrangement! I used to rush to my dorm room during the middle of the day and play the Carnegie Hall recording of this song. It gave me a much needed break and got me ready for the rest of the day. Love, love, love Judy. What a gift!

  11. T.... G....

    This is pure Judy.

  12. T.... F....

La plus grande de tous les temps, judy, chante sans doute l'une des plus belles chansons d'amour......avec une émotion incroyable, avec cette voix si unique, si chaude, si belle, si triste......la plus belle déclaration d'amour qui soit!

  13. T.... ....

she literally breathed her craft. how fortunate we were that we had her here.Albeit a short visit but what a glorious time it was.

  14. m.... m....

    to do it...😉

  15. m.... m....

Best version ever-I think Judy was the first not to it uptempo.

  16. M.... ....

Simply brilliant. Notice that there is no flashy camera work throughout the song. Just a single, unmoving shot, focusing on an exquisite performance. And how brave to leave the camera on Judy during the often-cut instrumental section in the middle of the song. Just about perfect.

  17. d.... g....

When Judy was right, she was in a class by herself.

  18. A.... C....

Judy Garland....... No one does it better....Such charm, presense, Grand style, rare talent & angelic Grace......indeed what a star.

  19. G.... C....

genial canta como si nada ¡¡ idola¡¡

  20. E.... ....

Lovely. However she doesn't look anything but broke... :)

    E.... ....

    Egoquaero: She *was* broke.

  21. N.... S....

I played this for myself on my birthday...I still love Judy~

    N.... S....

    N.... S....

    ...I loved the idea, I will......on mine!!!!!.....thank´s.....

  22. A.... V....

I hardly tried to find the lyrics of the intro, but with no success... I want to make cover of exactly tis vertion of the song :) It wan't be that perfect, but at least I could try! I'll be glad if someone could help me,thanx :)))

    A.... V....

    Now that it's your birthday
I don't know what to do
    Can't give you a thunderbird
Or a penthouse with a view

Can't even buy a little present
I'm much too broke j find.

But there is one way, I can save the day
    And i sure hope
    You don't mind

    I can't give you anything
    But love
    Baby
    THats the only thing
    I've plenty of
    Baby
    Dream awhile
    Scheme awhile
    You're sure to find
    Happiness
    And I guess
All those things you've always pined for

    Gee
    I'd like to see you
    Looking swell
    Baby
    Diamond bracelets
    Woolworth's dozen sale
    Baby
    Till that lucky day
    You know darn well
    Baby
    I can't you
    Anything but love

    A.... V....

    thank you very much!!!! <3

    A.... V....

    marry me xxoo

  23. T.... ....

    so great!

  24. L.... W....

the only better version of this song is another show with Judy Garland singing this same song...hard to believe, but even better than here!! someone had uploaded it a long time ago but it is gone.

    L.... W....

Laurie Winestock: the Carnegie Hall version is even better, though this is *sublime.*

  25. A.... M....

To continue: her Carnegie Concert. The whole concert is a knockout.

  26. A.... M....

To continue: Fats Waller may have written it. He does a very wonderful version. Judy does the same version on

  27. A.... M....

This is probably the best version ever of this song. How come only 3 comments. It's quite a call to say this is the best version. Debate over who wrote it. Fat's wall
