did he have a tour in Greece ? in some videos of his songs there are many comments in greek , he seems to have a big fan base there

@Omar Brsli , not quite sure. I know his "Live in Europe" album was recorded in the countries of England, Italy and Germany but unsure at all about Greece. I'm sure he made impressions all over though, without a doubt!

All this man needed was his old guitar Jerry on bass and Ted on drums and yet he played like no other human person could, Rorys songs were brilliant stories and poems that you completely believe, Rory was the real deal by a very long Irish country mile.

I feel like Jerry’s enthusiasm was just as important as his skill. Rory wasn’t the same after Jerry left after all those years. I’ve never seen a bass player so Into the songs. The band Rory had his last few years were stiff on stage.

me too sister! I fell in love with him in the late 70s after hearing Irish Tour 74. Played that album all the way through every time. It was years later when I saw how physically beautiful he was...totally matched the beauty of spirit that I felt through the music...I have a powerful love for him and since the internet has come along, I realize that I am not the only one! He would be so surprised at how many people still adore him.

+Stuart Gudgeon Yeah, he remained single for all his life, but surely he knew what was like to love and be loved - and much pain and suffering you got from those experiences (when they were bad, of course); however, I do believe he also knew the bright side of love, and had his share of happiness - I simply refuse to see him as a poor and sad man, who never found love...oh no, that's too much for me! Indeed, the pain in his voice is too real to be only "lyrics of a song". Cheers!!!

No girl friend's ever, look at the guy he must have had women falling over him, I don't believe he was sad it would show in his performance's, perhaps lonely at times but he had Donal there all his life that's love but it's different than romance. He was a very private man there's things we will never know and maybe that's why he shunned the big time, he turned down cream and the stones, his actions reflect that, he obviously didn't want to be under the microscope

Why do I see in this masterpiece of music this song was written and performed about that love that got away? Too humble of a man to show how much it hurt him, so he writes about it in song form which happens to be one of his many great songs ever written

Been into Rock music since I was 13 ... a lot of people I know now are all sort slag me off for getting into Rory ... Assholes right ? Mr Big lmao ! Rory came to me in way that was supernatural helped me loads  ...

Any one that doesn't see Rory's music intellect doesn't know much about music or certainly doesn't see or appreciate the different levels within the professional world. These people you speak off probably grew up on pure pop radio music regardless of what genre they were into.

Listening to Rory is like reading a good book. The songs stay with you. His guitar playing is soul music for sure.

Growing up with Rory's music, listening to Crest Of A Wave at the age of 15 with its soaring slide, combined with a lovely tune was a wonderful experience.  it was a never ending series of joyful albums and live performances for the next 20 years..
I can't explain it, but there's something about his playing that no one else has, combined with his natural humility.
Those who love his music know what I mean.

Rory got so much sound out of that 61 sunburst.When I saw him in when he was touring after Photo Finish. He had just finished Muddy's I Wonder Who when he kicked into Fuel to the fire.Seeing Rory and Alvin Lee in the same year where the two most intense shows I've ever been to.Rory was so hot that night,he must have taken a quarter of the finish off that evening. R.I.P. William Rory Gallagher (Actual date 6-14-95) but unfortunately were almost there again.
