Further Seems Forever - Pictures Of Shorelines Lyrics

If you insist on pictures of shorelines
Then I insist on pages of your lines meant for me,
To be sent to me.

Remember watching the storms from the lifeguard stand.
Remember feeling the tingling in my fingertips
When I touched your lips.

And I recall how you sat on the same side of me,
It always seemed that you'd always be on my side.
You're my best side.

And it's early June, so the sand's still dry,
And you have got the boldest eyes,
And I can't help but think it's right,
That inside you it's me I'll find.
And I'm still waiting.

And it's early June, so the sand's still dry,
And the storm off shore is not far behind.
And I'm still waiting.

And sometimes you don't say a thing for a long while.
And the ships off shore hold stories that we'd make.
And sometimes we are held at bay by these miles.
But less of you is more than I can take.

And the moments that we've shared could last a lifetime.
And the faith I have in us will keep you near.
And several of these miles placed in between us
Mean several of these words being sent by mail.
I hope this letter finds you well.

OMG, attben, I'm not sure who you are but THANK YOU. Its funny how the slightest sound can bring back a flood of memories. And with this album, you've unleashed a tempest. THANK YOU. And might I add, where has all the good music gone?

    @fruitcake182
Seriously? Chris' best work was this album IMO, coming from a huge Dashboard Confessional fan, at least for the first few albums. FSF was the only reason I ever paid any attention to DC. Further Seems Forever is miles above Dashboard to me.

    j.... ....

jzigsjzigs I’m with ya dude. Love dashboard but this album is the best work Chris did. Will probably forever be one of my favorite albums, this song being the standout.

  17. a.... ....

@xTYLOWx god awful cover. bishop sucks.

  18. s.... ....

Holy shit, reminds me I have to find a copy and order a new album. This CD defined most of my teenager years.

  19. a.... ....

    @bucketlesshead thank you.

  20. C.... C....

    Love chis carraba.

  21. T.... ....

"less of you is more than i can take"

    great line.

  22. D.... O....

@attben he's probably referring to the intensity of his song, both lyrically and musically......10 years and six albums later he's made his own name

  23. f.... h....

I nearly shat myself when I bought this and discovered that FSF was basically Strongarm w/Chris Carabba. Amazing musicians. No matter what style music.

  24. m.... ....

i think lyrically the interpolation of both piercing love lines and imagery-intense simile and metaphor push chris' lyrics in 'the moon is down' beyond anything he's written recently, putting it right up there with 'the swiss army romance' in terms of possibly the best albums of my late teens / early twenties.

  25. B.... T....

Older than you. I mean more emotionally powerful.

  26. a.... ....

more powerful? how old are you?

  27. B.... T....

Lost it? How could chris have lost it? All he did for these guys was the vocals and a damn good job of them but Dashboard is Chris doing his own thing and its much more powerful than this. Dusk and Summer does have a similar feel to these tunes.

  28. a.... ....

    no way.
DC is nothing compared to this, chris must have lost it.

  29. P.... B....

love it!! chris is awesome!! but i love dashboard confessional wayy better
