A friend recommended Frightened Rabbit to me, and now I just associate the band with how much I love my friend haha

I've listened to a few songs by frightened rabbit now and they seem more alternative than folk to me, even though I don't much care for them I like this song. Kinda sounds a bit mumfordy but with Scottish instead of English accents

They were ridiculously famous. In Scotland. Where they are from. They toured the US with festivals quite frequently.

They used to tour with Modest Mouse.

They sound like Modest Mouse. Kind of.

This isn't not number 1 because the music industry is "fucking corrupt". It's not number 1 because it appeals to a smaller audience. That's not to say that it is bad (music taste is subjective anyway), it just means that not everybody likes what you like. Get over it.
