Frente! - Labour Of Love Lyrics
Oh am I fooling you? Do you fall for it all or do you just see right through?
Are you as cool as you believe? Are you playing hard?
Are you waiting just to quietly clock my card?
Are you waiting for a moment to leave?
To what I believe you meant, I don't know anything at all
I'm standing in the push and shove
And I'm just within the rescue of the labor of your love
I can't do anything but fall, fall, fall, fall, fall
Why do I feel like I can never find you?
Why do I feel like I'm the only survivor?
Why am I thinking of you and me and the labor of love?
One chance, one shot that's all anybody ever got
Dancing in my gutter and if you want to find me
Call me, I'll be far from the cars and guitars and everybody
Why do I feel like I can never find you?
Why do I feel like I'm the only survivor?
Why am I thinking of you and me and the labor of love?
And I never knew before but I feel like a child in a cold, cold war
So strong, so tough, sitting in suburbia, waiting for the wind up
And I don't want to dance
I just want to jump from the prison of circumstance
Why am I thinking of you and me and the labor of love?
Why do I feel like I can never find you?
Why do I feel like I'm the only survivor?
Why am I thinking of you and me and the labor of love?

Frente! Labour Of Love Comments
I loved this song back in high school 💕
My wife... in my head :) I love Frente so damn much ha ha. Music from my early 20's.
Glad I’m not the only one who remembers this song
I searched it up, there was a mainstream song that sounded almost identical in its rythm etc, cant remember what it was its annoying me trying to remember what it was.
I'm a 41 years old virgin
I remember it debuting on the radio when it came out.
I love you!
Thank you amy

can you imagine showing this to 14 year old kids today? i think most of their heads would explode, but the old souls would appreciate, maybe even like it.
oh my god, i'm 14 again!
tu es un modelle
je trouve que tu es géniale
When they came to the states they came to a little Club in St Louis called the other world and I was like 14 and my friends step dad took us to see them and we got locked backstage with the band. It was a blast!
Sarah Lee I'm from Stl. I remember that club. Those were the good ol days. I saw filter there, awesome .
I turned this song on, and told my wife the story of my friend and i going to see her at the other world when i was just a kid. Im not positive, but i think fred friction played that night. Im not completely sure, but i clearly remember a man playing the spoons. I was probably 12-13 at the time, so it is kind of blurry. That was a great show.
Scrolling...victim...searching yester-years likes.....still great...luv it. Thanks for sharing
All of the songs of this album are love to listening again..
I Love Nimbin.
This brings back huge memories of scaryforkids from 2009. I was 6 years old and that whole video traumatized me. Good times though.
What a sweet voice
Salah satu band favorit gw
A beautiful song.

Still a good song in 2017! 😘🎸
love this gorgeous song
Great song
wow, haven't heard this in like 20 years
...∞ up there:)
Created with genius and love. This song still has its hooks in me and can wrestle my attention away from most anything.
Does anyone remember listening to this when they were like 12, urban legends video, scary for kids?
fuck yeah!!
I was only 6 dude and that slit mouthed girl made me run out of the house and into the street.
Yes and this song sounds so eerie because of that
Holy crap he’s back
old songs are the BEST
divina.
Back when artists made themselves into nice-looking people, instead of making nice-looking people into artists.
hawaiidispenser i see your wisdom here
Amen to that...
What kind of absolute nonsense is this?
Dayum lol
@Me Too thank God someone understands
I like her singing with her Australian accent.
This is a great cover!
It might be, if it were a cover.... it takes more than sharing a title to classify a song as a cover. :-)
Composers on this track were Simon Austin / Angie Hart.
My first love song from the 5th grade, I had no idea what the feelings I felt were but this song help me understand myself and this loco thing called life.
Anyone else here from scaryforkids?
I love the music on my childhood =)
THE first hipsters...
Came from the Beat Generation of the fifties, without them there would be no hippies.
I love frente!
Wow nice Song =)
i like this song....
Love,love,love song is the great
GREAT SONG
I really love this album. I was so glad the Bizarre Love Triangle cover was on MTV so I'd check out the rest of the album. And it was so well produced that it made my horrible cheap car stereo sound good. And I've always thought Australian and NZ singers and groups are uniquely great.
Best recorder solo i've ever heard in a pop song
Couldn't agree more!
Had I know that recorder class at Waterloo public could’ve lead to a swinging tune like that I might’ve paid more attention.!
Part Elizabeth Fraser, part early Lily Allen. I don't know what happened to Angie Hart but she was a talented singer. Being Aussie seldom helps in these cases.
You should have gone to Perth:

Good Solo Acoustic. I am Trying.
now if you could post the lyrics :)
I've been looking for this song for soooo long!! thanks for posting it
You and me both
There was not a young guy in Australia in the early 90's who did not have a crush on Angie!
floydster23 A lot of us girls did too!
Or anyone anywhere else. I saw them in Charleston, West Virginia back around early mid 90's. Everyone was screaming her name. Yeah, we were all in love :)
Bro, I STILL have a crush on Angie.
I remember first hearing this on that urban legends video
Fat Troll omg yes same
I was trying to find that just now
I feel old now. 2006 - 2010, when youtube was at its prime.
We Aussies are so lucky. This brings back some great memories. The 90's were awesome. I don't often miss Melbourne...but sometimes...
What am I thinking of... Long lost Love Frente!
The late 80's early 90's were great for indy Oz music.
The older I get the more I miss those golden day's.
Same here drumdust
Great minds think alike Keith :-)
God I miss Sydney.
yeah, know what ya mean bro
great guitar
So glad I just remembered about Frente!
always miss the sound of marvin,,,,
Still lovin this song <3
nOSTALGIA DEH...
Sublime... check them out.
Decrepit? I'm sorry. I think you still got 5 good years in you ;)
i heard this song when i was 16. now 37 and decrepit; but still with awesome taste
Good bands in the early 90s? Try The Replacements, Alice in chains, Pearl jam, Nirvana, Janes addiction, Red hot chili peppers, Fugazi...
some to check out: Tori Amos, Shakespears Sister, Lisa Loeb, Sneaker Pimps, PUSA, Fiona Apple, Barenaked Ladies and Moxy Fruvous.
the album (marvin) is worth having in your collection, every track is a pearler!!
i can't believe there was good songs in the 90s cause i was born in '91 so i didn't really hear much from the first half of 90s
this songs reminds me of alanis morosette and early oasis any other good bands or artiste in early 90s?
Love them, Miss them, want more.... always will xoxox
I saw them back in '94 at the TLA in Philly. Awesome.
I cannot believe I forgot about this band... I used to listen to this album all the time!!
Adoro todas as músicas desse grupo, anos dourados do Pop Internacional!
this is two years older than me.. but it made my day!! <3
Saw these guys do this one and all of Marvin the Album at a church in San Francisco back then. There were maybe 50 of us in the audience--they never quite became a household name in the US ;) I love how she makes singing sound so effortless and easy. And then you try to sing along and realize how really unique and talented she is.
BIT BORING..
Instantly reminds me of better times.
This band helped me get through grad school. I still feel hope and promise when I hear them.
Smoked a lot to this and other songs from this band, great days
I remember this being played in the Warner Brothers stores a lot. They were like the Disney Store but with Bugs Bunny and Batman stuff. Sadly they closed down. :(
That's tremendous. I love that comment.....I saw them live a few times in the early 90's or thereabouts. Quality music, shows and people.
This song reminds me of high school. Best days ever!
Guess I'm the oldest of the bunch. Thanks for posting this, great song. Remember this song I had graduated from university a few years earlier and it was almost post recession, was the early days of not worrying about losing my job, had just bought a new car and a house, 1/2 hr to 45 min commute used to listen to this every morning, brings back great memories, single, no kids, new car, house, yeah it was fun.
College Freshman year in Vt. Yup we listened to this. Love it.
i bet my mom listened to this while i was in the womb, .. must be why i love it.(:
I agree so badly with this...why why why why do we have time!!!!! It's so frustrating xx
"Labir of Lahv" lol
You little peach-fuzz faced wussies quit complaining about being "old". First time I heard this song I was 44.
