Freeway is the shit man, I always liked Freeway, he was just real about his shit, I jammed this shit in High school when it came out. I grew up in Louisville all black neighborhood as the only white dude, when I was little I had to fight alot but I held my own and the neighborhood took me in and this song made me remember all my friends we lost to DUMB FUCKIN VIOLENCE, shit makes me have tears when I hear this shit because it just fuckin sucks. It came to the head in 1999 when my mom made me move out into the country to get me away from it because we got shot at one night and my mom was done with it. This CD I think came out in 2000 or 01 and I remember listening to it and it just took me back, made me fuckin decompress and man this song had me in my feelings bad and I didnt show shit like that infront of anyone. This song on the radio in my room and just crying and smoking a joint, I ended up going in the military for 11 years and getting my college degree and having my own family and you wouldnt guess by meeting me i was in that life but I still keep pictures of the boys from the block, even my wife don't know and she wouldnt understand it. Thanks Freeway for this man.

I hopped in the car and drove over there. The ambulance hadn’t come to pick up the body yet. So I saw her in the bed. I couldnt take it. So I got back in the car and drove around the neighborhood. My phone was on shuffle and this song came on!!! that chorus hit!!!!!!! “Baby don’t you cry. Everything’s gone be alright. I know we make it through this!! That had to be my mother speaking to me. Outta all of the songs that could have came on it was this one. A nigga had to pullover and cry.

My mother died when I was 21 (2008). She had just got out of the hospital from surgery and died two days later at my grandmas house. I got the call at 7am. Went over to her house and the body was still there. I couldnt take it so I went for drive. By the time I got to the end of the street this song came on. And the iPod was not shuffle. So this gets to a nigga every time I hear it.
