This song (mainly the acoustic version) has literally saved me. I was planning on suicide and the acoustic version of this song happened to come up on my iTunes and it made stop and think about what I was doing. Thank you, Frank.

I always seem to enjoy this song more when I watch the video

It kills me that I don't get Frank as an artist any more. He used to be one of my favourite singers/lyricists and now I feel like I've lost this link, the punk seems half-hearted and the pop makes me feel cynical. I just feel sort of gutted that the 'new' me can't get into the 'new' him.

I think I've established why I loved this song so quickly, it's like We Shall Not Overcome which I love!

I wasn't that into this song on first listen, but it's really grown on me. I was playing this album while out walking the other day, and this was the song for which I just couldn't resist dancing and jamming down the (relatively empty) sidewalk. I think it's going to totally kill live.

By the way, am I the only one who is hearing lot of The Hold Steady influences on the new record?

I thought the same about Broken Piano until we heard it performed "live", when suddenly the power and emotion in the song comes through. Awesome song in my opinion.

Disappointed to say that I am not enjoying the 3 songs hes released so far compared to how much i enjoyed tape deck heart and the older stuff.

I am so ready for this album.

frank turner is genuinely the only artist who every song of theirs I've  listened to I've loved, I must have listened to at least 90 percent of his songs by now and still haven't found one that i don't love

@Daniel Mallen i actually quite like 'broken piano' i'll admit i have to be in the right mood to listen to it  but when i am i quite like it

@Daniel Mallen Live Broken Piano was awesome. Jet Lag is his only song I really cannot get into.

@mflamar I think the Jet Lag rock makes up for it though, with more of a song to listen to, rather than 3 minutes of droning.

I have to say, I'd agree... I don't think he's released a song that I DONT like.

I've listened to all his covers too, he's covered The Killers, Queen and Bruce Springsteen. To name but a few.

Im really struggling with these new ones, they're all quite samey, and cheesy and very... meh. not what I was expecting after Tape Deck Heart, that record kicked you right in the feels. not sure what to feel.

@Thor Andersen yeah it was freakin' me out how super positive everyone was haha, it's so... bland.

Have to agree unfortunately, both this song and Mittens do nothing for me, they just feel like poor imitations of old Turner songs. A few people who've seen Mittens live thought it was going to be the highlight of the album but they said that the album version sounds nothing like it, maybe the production is the problem.

@duckwantbreads It may be, actually. it just all falls a bit flat. I didnt like the storm one either. Get Better is alright though. 

I agree that it's flat, but considering the album's title and Frank's "new worldview," it's exactly what I'd expect from him. He's playing from the heart and you can feel the negativity he's trying to bring out and make better in this album. At first, I was really disappointed, but now I get where these songs are coming from and all I can say is that they feel pretty true to me.

+KayleighMorganMusic I agree, I think part of it is production side, cuz the acoustic tracks are so raw and heartfelt sounding.
