Frank Sinatra - Like A Sad Song Lyrics
Usually in the morning I'm filled with sweet belonging,
And everything is beautiful to see.
Even when it's raining, sounds of heaven singing
Is simply joyful music to me.
Sometimes I feel like a sad song,
So many different places, a million smiling faces,
Oh life is so incredible to me.
Especially to be near you and how it is to touch you,
Oh paradise was made for you and me.
Sometimes I feel like a sad song,
Like I'm all alone without you.
I know that life goes on just perfectly,
And everything is just the way that it should be,
Still there are times when my heart feels like breaking,
And anywhere is where I'd rather be.
To hold you close and say, I love you so.
To have someone to care with, someone I could share with,
And that is why I wanted you to know,
Sometimes I feel like a sad song,
Like I'm all alone without you.
[instrumental]
Sometimes I feel like a sad song,
Like I'm all alone without you.
Sometimes I feel like a sad song,
Like I'm all alone without you, without you.

Frank Sinatra Like A Sad Song Comments
Two genius. Mr. Francis Albert Sinatra and John Denver.
Beautiful song
Thanks for posting a great Sinatra song!!!
Sinatra needs no stupid photos!
i am like a sad song withow you..
I like your photos and how they fit the words of the song -- thanks for posting!
Sometimes we all feel "like a sad song" -- like we're all alone without the one we love (ort loved) -- that's why were here listening! Sinatra knew how to pick out the songs that were the best for him to sing, and that's why he sang this beautiful but sad John Denver song.
Dada Tagle,
Usually in the morning I'm filled with sweet belonging
And everything is beautiful to see
Even when it's raining, the sound of heaven singing
Is simply joyful music to me
Sometimes I feel like a sad song
Like I'm all alone without you
So many different places, a million smiling faces
Life is so incredible to me
Especially to be near you and how it is to touch you
Oh paradise was made for you and me
I know that life goes on just perfectly
And everything is just the way that it should be
Still there are times when my heart feels like breaking
Anywhere is where I'd rather be
Oh and in the night time I know that it's the right time
To hold you close and say I love you so
To have someone to share with
And someone I can care with
And that is why I wanted you to know
Sometimes I feel like a sad song
Like I'm all alone without you, without you
Sometimes I feel like a sad song
Like I'm all alone without you, without you..

Que conjunto de verdadeiras pérolas na voz desse maravilhoso cantor. Sua voz tem o poder de nos transportar. Simplesmente maravilhoso.
John Denver wrote this song, words and music after being asked by Mr Sinatra to write him a saloon song. What a compliment and he actually recorded it, an even bigger compliment.
The version by John Denver is better mainly because he wrote it and he always wrote songs to suit his voice and mood. He was a troubled soul, something Mr Sinatra wasn't. I think that says it all......

cripes ¡¡ that does not sound even half as good as John Denver's vocals.
and the guitar sounds twinky 😕
ÂfullmoonGtr Nobody cares about your fucking opinion
Where can you buy this song? I love it so much!
Hi s the best on my opinion
To Mum miss you our song I’ll always remember the good times I still have your brush with hair in it
Wow, never heard that before. 1976. Where was I in 1976? Jason was six and Josh was three. Now Jason is gone and Josh is in Hospice. Cruel world isn't it? Frank and John are gone also.
So sorry, I lost my daughter, only daughter, first born, in 1989 on Christmas Day from an unknown autoimmune disease. She suffered and went through known and unknown treatments and several surgeries, but, lost her battle after 27 months. Praise God, though, she 'won' the war. Blessings to all!!!
Bless sorry for your loss
He sang this right after being a guest on the tonight show, famous for when Don rickles came on the show unannounced.
frank sang I sing the songs and where or when on that show.
I think this is one of Sinatra's finest! Its an underrated piece.
Absolutely. I've just found a new and superb Sinatra classic. His voice was so made for this song.
So,so beautiful !😪
This song is so beautiful, it reminds me of the way life is. <<<<<<<333 Amazing Video! Frank is such a legend.
john denver wrote this. love his version too. so melancholy, and so pretty.
Beautiful!
Have you noticed how white everyone is? The lyrics are beautiful, but sad that there are so many smiling faces.
+Meagan Heckman I wonder why you take it so personally, it is just a beautifull song
Oh............your one of those.......
+Meagan Heckman PC much? Keep your tripe off YouTube
Well there are no Asians or American Indians either. More than likely the producer was white and he or she was reflecting the culture he or she knows best. Mostly likely you would do the same. The fact that every race is not included in every video, commercial or movie does not mean there is a bias or dislike for others. When I watch hip-hop videos guess what...I don't see any white people. I'm not offended by that and it would be offensive if they put a few in...just for the sake of diversity.
Is it a black thing????
Best version, written for Sinatra by his buddy, John Denver.
@saintcruzin
Not so. He started to write it before the Windsong LP hoping to get it on there. He was having trouble with a bridge for that song and the lyrics for another so the decision was made to scrap them both and use 'Love is Everywhere' instead.
When John played Sad Song and two others for Sinatra, Frank encouraged John to finish Sad Song suggesting that it would be a good torch song.
Quoting someone who knows, "John may have very well given the song to Frank but he didn't write it for him as it was already in the works."
The second song was eventually finished and titled "Tradewinds" and made the "I Want to Live" LP.
You really aren't very good at this.
@saintcruzin
John wasn't always consistent with song origins and Milt would have no reason to make it up. He was one of John's biggest defenders against some critics.
Filthy McNasty please all of you grow up. all I know is John denver wrote this song, sung it beautifully in my opinion better than Frank. I danced to it with my fiance after my dad died and Jim had just been diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme brain cancer. given a yr to live. He had just turned 57. I listen to this and pretend I am dancing with Jim once again....bawling my eyes out. John's version is so crisp and clear. He had the most beautiful voice and soul. thank you John for being such a caring and good man. just like my Jim....I told him to look you up in heaven.:-)
Annette Bohl Sorry for your loss...beautifully written song (for Frank, lol). Life can be very hard...Keep the memories close....❤
@Annette Bohl
I'm sorry for your loss. I agree that John sings it the best even though he gave it to Frank to sing as well.
John Denver's version sounds much better and heartfelt..!!
+Filthy McNasty What a freakin' troll....You are NOT needed here...
@saintcruzin
GFY, LIAR!
+Jo Ann Riggs greetings from spinachania
You are an idiot
No question. Sinatra does a fine job with it, but John Denver's is simultaneously gut-wrenching and extremely beautiful.
a new discovery ....................never knew he sang it. proof the music lives on.
I wonder why this was never released on any of his albums or as a single. It's a beautiful rendition.
thanks for keeping this beautifull song alive! I am trying to let my Dutch friends with good voices sing it, in Dutch. Not easy, no. But well worth it.
En, is dat nog gelukt?
Sinatra fan uit Nederland.
In vrije tijd vertolker van zijn repertoire, om deze muziek niet uit te laten sterven.....

"like I'm all alone...withowchu...." Nope.
E nacido en el siglo equivocado.
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
I like the original John Denver version better. I think John Denver is one of the best songwriters and artists, He is definitely a favorite! Go J.D.!
Probably one of his most heartfelt songs...mostly unknown too..
Just beautifully done video...GREAT job!!!
Beautiful job on the video..older Frank but he sounds just fine....xlint song!!!!
