Frampton, Peter - You Don't Have To Worry Lyrics

It's been awhile
Though I think I made you smile
I been singin' my song
Thinkin' I was wrong
But now I know
You know it takes so long
Though you're feelin' strong
And you gave me a sign
Made me feel like going on

I, I don't have to worry
You don't have to care
I don't have to worry
Cause' you will always be there

The years went by
As I played for you
Nobody cheered
As I walked on the stage with my dream
Thank you girl
Taking away, all of my fears
And all of the years that it takes

But, I know you don't have to worry
And I don't have to care
You don't have to worry
You know, I will always be there

I, I don't have to worry
You don't have to care
I don't have to worry
You will always be there, yeah
You don't have to worry
And I don't have to care
Cause' you don't have to worry
We will always be there
I don't have to worry
You don't, you don't have to care
I don't have to worry
You will always be there

Oh,
Feeling good
Like I should
Oooh

That tone is magnificent...If Peter had been allowed enough time to concentrate on working on this album, it would have been worlds better. The people handling him just used him as a cash machine, flooding him with an unforgiving work load of live performances over promoting the Live album. Along with the grueling road work and interviews, he was set up to fail. By the time he came off of the road he was pushed into the studio to make the follow up to Frampton Comes Alive, without any time to rest and really concentrate on the new studio album. It was instantly compared to the live album and there was no way to top it. The media was just unforgiving and they just tore into him with no mercy. A good manager would have pulled Peter off for a couple of years and give the public time to miss him and time for Frampton to just rest and recover. Instead the ill-fated Sgt. Pepper movie was the nail in the coffin at the time. Thankfully kept his nose to the grindstone throughout the 80's and David Bowie reintroduced him to the world for nothing but his guitar playing, it was outstanding. Peter is a fighter no doubt, because he just keeps coming back and I'm very glad of that. One of the finest guitar players ever in rock as far as I'm concerned.
