I love how polarizing foxy is. I started listening to them when my music taste was rapidly changing thanks to new friends and a new school . It was The Dear Hunter and Foxy Shazam. Introducing is still my favorite but the self titled is really special. They were always something different and even if I didn't always appreciate it in real time, all of their "eras" are fantastic. I'm very happy Foxy went out with a dope weird ass record recorded on Halloween with Steve albini. How amazing is that? lol can't wait for the reunion record

If you are ever gonna reform, I hope it happens soon. There seems to be a large group of devout fans who would make it special. But the world won't wait forever, Foxy has been off the scene for 5 years. If you take much longer, why bother. Just do it !!!!!!!

it just feels like they're holding back, doesn't it? i feel like this is a completely different band to the foxy most of us are used to. this song did grow on me eventually but i remember i was not a fan when it was released. you can only hope that if they come back, they bring back the original foxy shazam, not... whatever this is. it's not bad, but it's not foxy.

They have a lot of albums. In order, Flamingo Trigger, Introducing, (the self-titled album) Foxy Shazam, The Church of Rock and Roll, and then GONZO. 2005-2014. All are very neat to listen to as you can hear them transistioning throughout their career. Some highlight tracks I'd suggest would be The Only Way to my Heart (my favorite), Connect, The Rocketeer, The French Passion of Animality Opera, Red Cape Diver, Ghost Animals, Count Me Out, etc. I strongly enjoyed the first three albums, the last two, though wonderful and neat, just aren't much my music style.

Wow I like this sound way better than there new stuff. If years ago I've heard this song...I would have became a fan and the only reason I'm revisiting these guys is because of downtown and I remembered that they played an opening show for Panic at the disco and a lot of the crowd was not happy with there opening act.

If you don't get it, you just don't get it. "Concept albums" are usually just that. Gonzo is complete genius. Absolutely beautiful lyrics and music. Pure artistry. It is unfortunate that a lot of fans love artists but only if they stay in their box, not allowing the artist to be just what we appreciate them for, an artist. Also, if your a real Foxy fan, it's quite apparent that their sound and imagery changes with every album. Each is very different but remains quintessentially Foxy Shazam.

I don't know if I'd call it perfect, but I will say that I appreciate it more and more over time. At first I wasn't crazy about it because it's so different from their past stuff. But it actually has lots of good cuts on it, with this one being my favorite. Also a big fan of "Poem Pathetic", "Don't Give In", and "In This Life".

This album definitely has a "pinkerton" feel. Not in style or genre, but it was overall disliked at first but will eventually will have a cult following.

It took several listens, but now I really enjoy this album. I like the way it flows from beginning to end.

Shame they had to end on such a low note. I hope they come back someday. Truly the most underrated band of all time.

Fantastic album.  I think the themes, concept, and songs work very well together.  In fact, I think it could be their most superior album in terms of textures and maturity. One of the best bands I've seen in years. Thanks!

I think it's important to appreciate Eric Nally and Foxy Shazam as a whole for what they are doing. One of the most consistent things between their albums is that there is always an incredible amount of emotion being portrayed. And the amazing thing about this band is that they show that emotion and passion in new ways with each album, following a respective theme.
If you enjoy the first album, listen to it. If you enjoy the second album, listen to it. And so on.
The point is, liking a band shouldn't be wanting them to sound like you want them to. If you want to listen to a band that will never change, go listen to a band that's time has already passed. Not saying that that is a bad thing, but as far as Foxy Shazam goes- they are fresh, they are new, they are explorative and excellent.

I hope they go back to the real Foxy soon, That was fucking energetic and creative rock and roll, this hipster shit sucks dicks and is only a trend

You know the scene in a lot of movies about bands where they shoot this really contrived video following every trend and looking miserable? You know the one that's supposed to show how much they've hit bottom? This is that scene.

You guys are killing it you get more talented, creative, and sophisticated with each album. Rock on guys and stay foxy!!!

As different, lazy and depressing this album sounds I loved it and I think this is my favorite album besides flamingo trigger. They've really proven they aren't scared to do anything in this album.

To everyone saying they don't care for the gonzo album, please just go to a show. Don't let the fact that you don't care much for this album stop you from going to see them. If you think this album is slow and dull I think seeing them live might give you a different perspective. Plus, I went and saw them earlier this month and probably less than a hundred ended up showing. It seems likely mostly it was bad planning on the venues part not a lot of promoting. Nevertheless foxy was, dare I say, Killin' it. Best show I've ever seen. Please please please go and see them live. You won't be disappointed... I hope.
