I like four songs off the new album, this being one of them, and I think this one may be the best.

My son is in Parris Island, SC getting ready to graduate in 3 weeks, but before that he has to go through The Crucible. He asked me for these lyrics to help him through.

My cousin died of cancer at 10:30 this morning. This song got me through it. Rest in Peace Susan Laubach. <3

one of the best songs oftha album!

last night I fell asleep listening to FYS, had shuffle active on my iphone and I woke up in the middle of the night hearing an awesome song, the same second I opened my eyes I thought "HOLY SHIT, THIS NEW ALBUM IS AWESOME!". I dont remember which though, cause it was my first listen and not to familliar with the songs.. Anyways, this new FYS is awesome.

Rather than complaining that they're songs are different, be thankful for a band that actually knows how to make and experiment with music. You're in the wrong place if you were expecting same-sounding songs filled with the same breakdowns that can only be told apart by the lyrics - that you probably can hardly understand. If that's what you want, you should be searching attack attack some other generic shit.

Anyone who doesn't like new FYS, is probably a stupid scene kid who only listened to them because they thought the breakdowns were "br00tal" as they say.

After the first 10 seconds I heard this song. I was like, fuck yeah this song is awesome.

@TehTy777 the other issue is this album is very dark and serious where as the last two have been very up beat and for the most part happy in their own weird way. The only angry sounding songs they'd made up till now was Tonight we Feel alive, ROD Maniac, and Enemy of the World.

@alexisonpin Granted - this album is much more hard rock then post hardcore - please don't ever compare Four Year Strong to Nickelback, the gaping asshole of the rock industry. Furthermore, the Foo Fighters are awesome so I don't see why you had to drag them into this. Yeah, this album isn't what we were expecting, but it's good for what it is. Chill out and be patient, we have no way to know what this band will do next.

@24gadjet Their new album is a lot darker and a lot more serious. It probably reflects a lot of what they're going through, and Fairweather Fan is obviously aimed at people complaining about their new stuff. Bands go through big transitions, each album is unique. Enemy of the World and ROD were both very different. Give em a couple years and their next album may be more like Enemy of the World, though I doubt they'll ever even try to emulate ROD

I was so ecxited about a new four year strong album and now... well i think i will have to listen to beatdown to cheer myself up. Dissapointed... very dissapointed :(

It's the same stuff, obviously, it's still FYS, but it's missing the ecstacy, the rush, and the power of the song. It's boring because it's so less than Enemy of the World. For example, I'm listening to "Listen, do you smell something?" and it seems like the music scale is so much more diverse, that they're not constantly going into a constant loop of the same couple notes. The instruments clash so perfectly, there, but not here. :(

@TehTy777 This song still has all of those elements, just executed different'y. I'm surprised that people are so shocked about this album. Enemy of the World had songs that could have easily come from this album like "Wasting Time" "One Step at a Time" and especially "Find My Way Back". The amount of content in "Enemy of the World" that resembles "In Some Way Shape or Form" is way more than the amount that doesn't.

@theboxisgone2 Yeah, because EotW and RoDT were the same :/. They weren't random heavy riffs, they were melodic while staying fast and heavy. I mean, look at "One Step at a Time", "Paul Revere's Midnight ride", or "Abandon Ship or Abandon All Hope", all great melody, all great heavy riffs, while not distracting the listener from the lyrics. It had rise and fall, climax, build-up, depth as well. the great lyrics and awesome message are still there but now it's flat, boring, and repetitive.

@TehTy777 I know it may be hard to believe, but not every one of their songs has to be exactly the same. They are allowed to be more melodic than heavy you know. Imagine that!

Only good song off the album IMO. 6500 sales in one week? I was hoping they'd get more famous soon, but their popularity seems to be declining.

What I want to know is why they are still kinda undiscovered...no one that i know has any clue who they are

I vomited at 1:50 ... and not out of awesomeness. Wtf is that ?!? I mean we all have different tastes in music ... but I DEFINITELY didn't expect that from FYS ... so dissapointed ...
