Four Year Strong - Only The Meek Get Pinched, The Bold Survive Lyrics

Waiting for the world to keep turning it's back on me,
I think I can say the same for you.
Deadman walking towards the light
Told me he would never fight
But now he's gonna make his way for you

But we will survive, were still alive
We will never die, alone

Oooo
Noo!
I've given up the right to be honest with good company
But I could never say the same for you
Distance keeps you on your toes
The must have comes keep the storm
The way the combat calls my name out

But we will survive, we are still alive
We will never die, alone

Noo
Nooo
Nooo
Noo

It's just another day spent making all the same mistakes
And given all you have
For the time in line
Before it rains, counting the days
Til we all just fade away
But we wont fall together
I'll tell you well remember that

We will never die
Well never die
Noo
Noo
Noo
But we will survive, were still alive
We will never die, alone

Four Year Strong Only The Meek Get Pinched, The Bold Survive Comments
  1. h.... ....

@Mrs. Bethancourt kids that actually looked it up and went to the comments to see why she made us look it up.

  2. s.... ....

my question is why did "Ready Player One" reference this song?

    s.... ....

this is the type of music the main character listens to when he's playing in the Oasis

    s.... ....

also it's a line from a 80's movie called Ferris Bueller's day Off and since RPO is full of 80's movie references makes sense

  3. A.... M....

Fuck anyone that doesn't like this record- boom

  4. S.... E....

    papa bear says yes

  5. T.... B....

This is a great song, they should make more songs like this.

  6. T.... G....

How can anyone hate on this? Just appreciate the art.

    T.... G....

Because it isn't what the first few albums of theirs sounded like. It wasn't FYS.
When I see people who don't get it, I try to explain: If someone likes the 100 types of milk chocolate, and you give them dark chocolate, and they don't like it, you can't say, "It's the same, if you like chocolate, then how can you not like this chocolate?" Because it's the same band, but completely different style. But also, good if you like it, there's like ten million classic rock bands for you to like as well. Just hear out the other side who likes a band for what they set themselves up to be...There's got to be a line drawn for you too, what if FYS next songs were techno/dance screamo. Would that make you go...hmm, I'm out for this one.
P.S. My comment goes for the whole album...but for this song in particular, check out Queen. I don't want FYS doing Queen. I want FYS doing FYS. (which is what they came back to with Go Down In History...so I guess they felt it too.)

    T.... G....

@***** Really? Because I actually felt he was saying it was ok to like or dislike certain songs/albums depending on what you where wanting at the moment. He explained why some people disliked this album and made a reference to something that the OP might dislike, asking if he would pass on it. So I do not see where he's advocating for closed-mindedness and assuming all fans are closed-minded. I bet he/she's a fan and is not closed-minded at all.

  7. B.... A....

omg.... I love like crazy this band... but srsly this song suck's ass. lol Hardcore roots disappeared. why...

  8. L.... ....

this song feels kinda Queen-esque i like it.

  9. J.... H....

    best 4YS album yet.

  10. D.... F....

Just epic song and epic group...
In 6 words, all is said.

  11. G.... C....

    @Urbanike101

See, the irony is that track five of this albums addresses you "true fans" as you call it. Give it a listen.

  12. K.... O....

@RyanV12191 he just screams in his new band. the rest of Foxfires create the music

  13. I.... ....

This is strange i mean listen to rise or die trying then this and its just total mindfuck

  14. J.... R....

im really trying to like their new album, but i cantt it sooo generic. This isnt four year strong and if you are a real fan youll know the that.

  15. G.... R....

@Salvlol So wat your wanting is another sythesizer, breakdown record like half the other bands produce out there that are this genre, but when a band produces something that will change them from the rest...its boring. Yeah, riiiight.

  16. a.... c....

@Salvlol You can't carry on being the same forever, it gets boring to some people. Cool that you have an opinion but I like that they change with their albums, all as good as the other but each in their own way!

  17. G.... R....

@Salvlol Move on jesus. If you can't realize this a good shit, then your jus missin out on a influential band and you can go listen to the same stuff over and over,

  18. c.... ....

@dropCbeast you are correct. None of those bands are hair metal. What it says is that he likes hair metal and those bands. That's why there's a comma and not a colon.

  19. c.... ....

Glad people like this but i miss their older stuff. Just like Set Your Goals, ADTR and practically all other band before them, thank you for the golden years. They will be on repeat in my car.

  20. c.... ....

@imawhorex7 Let me guess you like hair metal, The Foo Fighters, Tool and New Rise Against . . . wow . . . how'd I guess.

  21. M.... ....

@Peter7beardmaster that's not my point, Josh's job was to give four year strong that unique little additive that set them aside from everyone else. The song prepare to be digitally manipulated for example would sound like a different genre without the presence of his synth and the screaming he did that was layered (flawlessly I might add) on alan and dans singing. and he is a musician, he has his own band now where he is writing more music and playing again

  22. P.... D....

@RyanV12191 with all due respect..hes not a musician..he just played songs that were already made

  23. N.... ....

    they just keep getting better
this album was not has heavy but they grew to become better composers =)
this song and sweet kerosene are the best of the album for me \m/

  24. t.... ....

god! i want this song to be the background music of my life

  25. o.... ....

    this song is fucking amazinggg

  26. T.... s....

I didn't like the album at first, but it grew on me, and this is the best song on the album

  27. M.... ....

Okay, I like this song, not denying that. But uhh... the paino? .... any reason Josh couldn't have played that??

  28. S.... S....

four year strong makes songs the way they want and how they want to hear it. they dont give a fuck about anything else. and its awesome.

  29. D.... M....

i can listen to this shit for months on end.... and then listen to it some more

  30. C.... F....

fuck this album sucks........now that i have your attention...THIS IS THEIR BEST FUCKING ALBUM YET!! :D

  31. K.... O....

the way Dan and Alan harmonize in the beginning reminds me of For Our Fathers.

  32. R.... M....

@simplyderek1992 So much respect for that comment

  33. D.... W....

@TheDeathWalrus we all think that, but a band needs to go forward and make music they want to hear and thats all that matters. ive been a fys fan from the beginning and have them tatted on my body. love them no matter what.

  34. B.... G....

they need to release an all piano version of this, such an awesome song! hopefully seeing them again when they come back home to worcester!

  35. T.... ....

You have got to be fucking kidding me...
what the fuck happened to Paul Reveres Midnight Ride and Go Long dad?

  36. B.... ....

this really sounds alot like queen! awsome

  37. J.... C....

THIS IS THE BEST ALBUM THEY HAVE RELEASED, I REALLY DONT CARE WHAT ANYONE ELSE HAS TO SAY. BEAUTIFUL.

  38. K.... O....

this is very chill. i love it.
