Four Seasons, The - Soon (I'll Be Home Again) Lyrics

Oh, soon
Oh, I'll be home again
Soon, hey, darling
Wait 'til then

Soon, soon
I'll make it worthwhile
Don't cry, try to get by

Soon, we'll watch
The sun go down
There will be a
Thousand stars around

(Soon, soon, soon)
Oh, just imagine
Me and you, what we can do
Soon, so soon

Didn't we both make a vow
Darling, don't break it now
It's much too soon

I'll take you by the hand
Soon, you'll wear
My wedding band
Soon, soon, soon

No tear stained pillows
For you, darling
I'll be home soon

Darling, I'll be home soon
Wait and see
Darling, I'll be home soon

Has anyone seen him do this song "Live". I would love to see & hear it! He never sang this song??? Love it! ❤️ ❤️

  5. N.... ....

I first heard this song on a Doo Wop radio show in NYC, in the early 70's, and I was blown away.  One of my favorites from my favorite singing group.

  6. T.... ....

I don't remember this one but I love it !!!!

  7. 6.... ....

Summer of 1963 ....  Jukebox in a snack bar in U.S. Army's Kelley Barracks, Stuttgart, Germany.  This song had to be the most played song of the summer.  Every G.I.put many quarters in it to keep playing this one.

    6.... ....

    64JBran that's pretty cool

    6.... ....

64Bran---One of those memories that gain importance with age...What was your MOS over there in Stuttgart?  Today you would have to put dollars in that modern jukebox...

    6.... ....

64JBran--Damn, you were still M1 Garand Army, getting ready to change over to M14, but not for long then M16 and all the initial problems with this new 5.56 lightweight round.  Honored  to comment on your post.  You are/were a part of American history.

    6.... ....

64Bran--You were probably Armor.  Or mechanized Infantry...I was a high school sophomore in '63.  I am hoping you are well and good these days.  Proud to communicate with a GI from the Cold War...

  8. E.... ....

    And so the story goes.

reminds me of the time I was in the navy and thinking how much time I had left before I got home again!! She waited!!!!

    V.... S....

Vern Smith,  Good for her and you.  What ship were you on?  I give her big time credit for waiting for you.  And I give you big time credit for serving in the United States Navy.  I was in the Marines and spent some time on a Navy troop ship--You Navy guys were the best even if I could never say it earlier, and besides, we had some of your best guys serving as our Corpsmen....

    V.... S....

USS Albany and Cromwell, cruiser and destroyer escort

Ohhh, this was singing!!! Spring of '63, I was 16 y/o, a Junior, & --well--there was this girl named Gayle -----my 1st real crush. Problem was, she " liked me for a friend " , a fate far worse than death. No matter, I always sang this song to her, Denver Colo., South High. Wolfsky9, 67 y/o now.

I bought the 45 40 years ago without hearing the song first. I love the Seasons, so I knew it had to be good. Very doo wop, a different sound from the Seasons' hits. Great to hear it here. Saw Frankie and the 4 Seasons last night in Columbus. Fantastic show. Saw Jersey Boys about three months ago as well.

  19. F.... C....

Huge classic oldie in Philadelphia, much bigger than the flip side when it was released in the spring of `63.

  20. G.... M....

One of the great lesser-known songs. Frankie really soars on the vocals here, and the Seasons give an appropriately doo-wop background. Fantastic. Thanks for posting.

  21. T.... C....

    LOVE IT!

  22. j.... d....

I have this 45 stashed away somewhere...One of their better low level hits...

  23. T.... ....

id love to hear hugging my pillow that was one of my favourites on their album.

  24. r.... d....

A great song by a great group.

  25. W.... ....

An all-time, " cuddle up with your baby" street corner masterpiece. . . Back in a better & more innocent time. GBY, Frankie, Tommy, Nick & Bob. Wolfsky9

  26. r.... d....

    Awsume!

  27. J.... K....

@tex1agg I believe it was the Orioles?

  28. T.... H....

One of their best, never went anywhere on the charts, but great none the less.
What a prolific group, they maintained their popularity even in the era of the Beatles. I saw them about three years ago, got to talk to Frankie, nice guy. Thanks for posting.

  29. P.... ....

Aint That A Shame - Vee Jay 512

  30. t.... ....

This was one of their best versions ever, yet it received poor promotion by the managers.

  31. b.... ....

those wops sure can sing...go Ities!

  32. J.... K....

They weren't the orginal singers on this song but do a wonderful job with it. Harmony is one of their strongsuits. Thanks for posting one of their best songs.

  33. c.... ....

Here we go! Blue lights in the basement. Slow grind with your girl!

Thanks for posting this rare classic.
