Four Seasons, The - Huggin' My Pillow Lyrics

Gone, gone, gone, gone...

I wake up huggin' my pillow
Wake up huggin' my pillow
Cryin' tears on my pillow
'Cause you're gone
'Cause you're gone

All through the night I dreamed that you
Were near to me, but then
To the light of morning, oh my dear

I wake up huggin' my pillow
Wake up huggin' my pillow;
Cryin' tears on my pillow
'Cause you're gone
'Cause you're gone

Why do I always have to give
And never get no love
Only comes to me in dreams, and yet

I wake up huggin' my pillow
Wake up huggin' my pillow
Cryin' tears on my pillow
'Cause you're gone
'Cause you're gone

Huggin' my pillow
Huggin' my pillow
Cryin' tears on my pillow
'Cause you're gone
'Cause you're gone, gone, gone, gone, gone...

Crying Tears On My Pillow Cos Your'e Gone xxx

  14. F.... C....

It is a musical crime that this was a B side. My friend Eddie and I wore this out on my mom's "stereo" back in the 60's and still do 53 years later...

  15. J.... R....

IN MY OPINION,,I THINK FRANKIE'S HIGH TENOR AND FALSE,,HIT THE HIGHEST NOTES IN THIS SONG,,HE HAD A NATURAL 1ST TENOR,,BUT HIS FALSE IS UNREAL ON THIS ONE,,ESPECIALLY THE END NOTES...GREAT UPLOAD...BLESSINGS,JIMIECEE.

  16. S.... ....

Criminally ignored is right -- wow!

  17. C.... P....

always flipped over for this one , still have the 45

  18. C.... A....

    Great Oldie!!!

  19. f.... h....

The song should have been released as an A-side. It has all the elements for the big, big hit.

  20. T.... ....

If you don't get chills listening to the end of this song..... you're dead and you just don't know it.:o)

    T.... ....

+Tonithenightowl You always hear about Frankie's voice, but never the production of the music.

    T.... ....

+StanBennet He's not a composer, he's an entertainer. In interviews he always credits Gaudio's genius. They are still business partners to this day. However it's always the singer or actor that gets the recognition bc they bring the music or movie to life. People don't understand how much hard work goes into the creative side of it so your statement is valid. People are only used to seeing/ hearing the finished product. :o)

    T.... ....

The song Huggin' My Pillow was written by Bob Crewe, Bob Gaudio and was first released by The 4 Seasons featuring The "Sound" of Frankie Valli in 1964.

  21. M.... ....

One of their best!!! Love this song!!!

  22. L.... S....

I grew up listening to the Four Seasons. My father has always been a huge fan. Even today, at 78, Dad still has all their music. So, I guess it's safe to say that the Four Season' never get old, but remain new for generation to generation to enjoy! :)

    L.... S....

Your Dad has great taste in music. You have to Love Frankie Valle and the seasons

    L.... S....

you are so right! my friend

    L.... S....

I grew up on them as well. I almost wore out my mom’s 8 track of them on the console she had! I remember writing them a fan letter in 6th grade. It got returned due to having the wrong address. 😢

  23. B.... ....

This is probably my favorite Frankie valli song 😊👍

  24. B.... ....

  25. D.... D....

As a young kid in the early 1970's, this was one of many 45s given to me by my uncle Sal. I played the crap out of this single! As we know, this was the flip side of I've Got You Under My Skin, black Philips label. Thanks a million! This was and still is my most favorite, so rock on bro!

    D.... D....

Actually this song was on Rag Doll album

  26. J.... R....

    Haunting and magnificent.

  27. R.... S....

This is one of the most difficult songs of The 4 seasons to sing. The chorus on the end is non-human

    R.... S....

Yes it is! I love this song and all of their music. I used to blast it as a kid and still do.

    R.... S....

One of their songs that "Got away".

  28. S.... P....

    Unique song haunting melody

  29. j.... ....

One of my favorite 4 Seasons songs - and it wasn't even a "A" side.

  35. F.... ....

If I hear Sherry on the radio again, I'm going to break it.  More of these tracks please.

  36. p.... ....

    One of their underrated gems.

  37. j.... d....

    love it

  38. t.... s....

The music critics can say all they want, Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons' history speaks for itself. They were the first group to have 3 #1 hits in a row on Billboard; they were the #1 group in the world before the Beatles; they were America's main challenge to Beatlemania and the British Invasion of 1964. In early 1966 they placed numerous hits on the music charts at the same time, but used 3 different names, and at the end of the 1960s had outsold everyone except the Beatles and Elvis Presley

  39. m.... c....

It amazed me how long the Four Seasons were ignored by the music critics as a great band, but when you listen to such songs as "Huggin My Pillow" one can hear for themselves how great this group was. The harmonies, the vocals, the beat, the productions were all top notch, and if the Four Seasons could not make your feet and legs move, then nobody could!

  40. D.... N....

Those "Jersey Boys" rock -- always have -- always will

  41. j.... s....

Another great song from classic lp Rag Doll in 1964 written by Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio.

  42. T.... ....

    beautiful

  43. 7.... ....

i've been wondering how the hell he managed that! thanks for sharing that!!!!

  44. 7.... ....

frankie really sang his balls off on this one.....outstanding! shoulda been a #1 hit

  45. m.... ....

    awesome…thanks

  46. b.... ....

    I always loved this song

  47. D.... S....

One of my fave 4 Seasons and should have been a single (I think Bob Gaudio wanted it as a single but he was outvoted.)Most likely recorded at the same 1964 session that produced"Ronnie" (there are no stereo versions of those two tracks)
but got tucked away on the "Rag Doll" album appearing two years later as the "b" side of "I've Got You Under My Skin".

  48. A.... ....

Amazing range from FV. Love it.
