Foreigner - Double Vision Lyrics
Feelin' down and dirty, feelin' kind of mean
I've been from one to another extreme
It's time I had a good time, ain't got time to wait
I wanna stick around till I can't see straight
No disguise for that double vision
Ooh, when it gets through to me, it's always new to me
My double vision gets the best of me
Never do more than I, I really need
My mind is racing, but my body's in the lead
Tonight's the night, I'm gonna push it to the limit
I'll live all of my years in a single minute
Fill my eyes with that double vision
Ooh, when it gets through to me, it's always new to me
My double vision always seems to get the best of me, the best of me, yeah
Ooh, double vision, I need double vision
It takes me out of my head, takin' me out of my head
I get my double vision
Oh, seeing double double
Oh, I have double vision, yeah, I'm getting double vision

If you are not aware, there are two ladies that play the harp named Camille and Kennerly also known as the Harp Twins who absolutely killed this song. I won't post the link here but you should definitely check them out. They also cover Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne and Led Zeppelin as well as many other artists.
You broke my couch you fucking Nerd
forever ...2020...
I remember when this was slaughtered by disco, and thats the way it was in the 70s.
Rock was slaughtered by rap.

Am I a Double or a Triple Agent? "Feeling kind of dirty, feeling kind of mean...I've been one or the other in between..." What would Jesus do? What would Richard Sorge do? "My DOUBLE VISION GETS THE BEST OF ME..."
2020 brought me here.
For me it's more convoluted...
1- As a Raja Yoga teacher I was making someone else practice a meditation exercise where she was asked to visualise her astral body expanding to the size of the stratosphere...
2- That reminded me of the cover picture of a Sci-Fi book of 1999 which was Colossus from Donald Wandrei and as the story was of someone travelling above the speed of light, I was CURIOUS to know if the title was referring to his mass and body size being altered in the process and started searching for the novel resume ...
3- Doing so, I landed on Goodreads and in one comment of the readers, there was a reference to Clark Ashton Smith, which was one of my FAVORITE AUTORS, far superior in my opinion to Poe, Lovecraft or Howards in his VISIONS and stories ... (Give it a try and read the available short novels on eldritchdark website.)
4- By binging in his works again and looking for illustrations of them, I became also engaged in a sidequest about Stephen Fabian an artist apparently well known for his Fantasy illustrations (with a lot of semi-nude vixens) ...
5- Which led me to a blog : theporporbooksblog, featuring one of his illustrations, but also in one other post the outrageous cover picture of Head Games, which confused me a lot in my teens and today stirred my senses ...
6- Which obviously also remembered me of the group, - which got out of my radar for the last 30 years - and here I am on Youtube listening to : Urgent, "Waiting for a girl like you" and "2ble vision" ...
More or less the story of my life since the advent of the internet ... Poor me ...
NO MORE OF THIS IN 2020!
How many people are aware of the factoid : This song is about the/a medical condition known as "Vertigo?" AMJ

"Tonight's the Night I'm going to push it to the limit." The Eagles tried just that-pushing it to the limit and they came out of the other side of a Scorsese film, SCARFACE.

I can remember being in Bosnia and there was a cease-fire on, I could observe the Serbian soldiers dancing around and if I listen really closely I could hear this song, here we were on the battlefield shooting at each other a day before and now we're both enjoying the same music, it made me look at this conflict differently
shakell w double vision
Lou Gramm had a great voice for foreigner!
This was, in my opinion, their overall best album. The fame and fortune had not torn the band apart just yet. But egos over the success of the first album, and the firing of Ed, by Head Games. The music was lacking the heart and soul of what they had started out with. There are tons of Mick Jones asshole stories on the internet. And he is not the English gentlemen he portrays in public. But to fire half of your band by the third album's completion. Yeah, there was trouble. I knew a woman who grew up with Al Greenwood, and she said that Mick was really hard to work with. And was very tough on Ed. Al knew by the third album that it was over as Lou and Mick wanted changes. The dynamics and the music changed from heart and soul-rock to a Journey cover band pumping out hit singles, but lousy albums. Personally, I feel that Mick was so afraid that it would all go away, as he had started the band with almost no money, and had been left stranded in New York City when his band broke up. Their manager had to go into his retirement savings to help pay the band. Lou lived outside of New York City because he could not afford to live there. NOT ALL GLAMOR FOLKS
Kyle did it better tbh.
This brings back memories aww me and brother r I p billy b from sis amanda
What a shame we have to grow old.
We need more Rock like this back!
Still badass all these years later!
No gonna lie this song was way ahead of its time, its sounds like an 80s song but its from 78'. Why tho? Because when i looked it up i got so mad because i was hoping it was from 1987 not 1978 so now foreigner owes me a computer moniter lol

My first concert with them & Billy Squire in Pgh Pa! What an awesome night that was back in 1982!

My vision is seeing double
The good part of the song starts at 45 seconds. Before that not so good.
Love the chord & tempo changes from the verses to the chorus, I like how it shifts from a rocker to a ballad at the start of the chorus.
yeah... yeah!!!
Anyone else here because of the AVGN? Thanks Kyle Justin for introducing me to this fabulous jam.

Thank you, Alex. This may be the zenith of U.S. rock with its creativity.
As a JoJo fan I would think that this would make for a pretty cool stand, maybe something similar to KISS.
Love ❤️ it
Glad to say I lived in the greatest decades of music 👍
Dreamers Rock You and me both. Imo. there is only One lead singer for Foreigner and his name is Lou Gramm. I don,t know who that other guy is and I don,t want to.
Foreigner
"Double Vision"
#2, 1978.
Such a great band when Lou and Mick Jones were unbeatable !
Fuck yah..
Foreigner!!! I LOVED the first 4 albums! I remember my friend playing his new 8 track in my brothers Pickup. It was the First Foreigner album. I take a while to warm up to "New" bands. A few months later.. I was hooked! Foreigner is possibly my all time favorite band.. (but I really can't decide.. I have about 10 or so bands in that competition). To all you young folks who like Foreigner, (Young as in... you know people 40 and under), Thanks! I appreciate you validating one of my favorite bands as being a Legit "classic". You folks are also a class act for loving old school Rock!
Sluggo
I love Foreigner

Ignignokt: Fryman. Fill your eyes with double vision.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force
I feel bad for being one of the people that came here because of AVGN.
Double vision sounds good to me.
My drunk friend refused to play this on his player while I was also drunk because he felt it was sub-par. I did not speak to him for months afterwards. I am from Mississippi, and he is from Texas. His name was Sam. Thumbs up for this video, thumbs down for Sam.
Listening to this August 2019.
Good for you
🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽

Very Simplistic but Powerful Guitar Riff...I made sure when this song came out when I was 15, I would learn it.
