I know most might say only a handful of songs is good on this, but I enjoy all cause in each song I can relate to most of he says throughout the album.

Most of this sounds like Jim though. It's so hard to tell Jim and Garretts voices apart sometimes lol

It's better than Wasted Youth, but that's because it's average FTFD. That's not a bad thing, it just sounds like it'd fit comfortably in Changes or Relentless (aside from that Garrett Rapp cameo) instead of being something that sounds newer.

The only difference between now and when Dylan was about is the dynamics of the vocals. They both write and sing about the same stuff. Musically the band is exactly the same so really its more of a focus on the sound that was already there. Not a good thing in my opinion but thats just me!

i actually lost faith in ftfd for a bit till more of there new album came out which makes me happy because honestly i love chad and all but in my opinion dylan made ftfds just different like every album had something to it that made it amazing. i wish this album came out already holy fuck ;-;

Chad takes this band back to their roots. Which has always been their best music imo. So glad he's back. Dylan was taking them down the fan-girl-sound road. Glad he's gone and Chad came back. Always been a huge fan of these guys.

Those who disliked this are the retards that thought the replacement for the current vocalist back in 09 was the best thing for the band. No This guy was great in Changes, and this album should be just as good as Changes!

And Rise has a bad track record (at least I've noticed it more in these past 2 years or so) of what seems like mass producing these cookie-cutter, insincere, wishy-washy bands that all seem to adhere to this same old formula Rise Records has dreamt up as being what metalcore fans want to hear.

I totally agree with you. Have you heard their wasted youth album? I was digging a few songs but everything is way overproduced in my opinion. I'll have to give this new album a listen, sounds sick so far but relentless is my favorite from them

@Mario Persico I really liked their Wasted Youth album. Had some pretty heavy shit and it really felt like it knew what it was trying to say. 

@Reed Lobbestael I still enjoy Wasted Youth to some extent, but the sound they were going for was not popular amongst fans, most of them didn't like it because it was so poorly produced and because half the album sounds like a pop punk-deathcore hybrid that wasn't what FTFD had released in the past. The production value is horrid, everything is muffled by too much low-end frequency, and the vocals sound too raw to blend in with the compression of everything else. As for the music itself, No One To Blame has to be the worst effort I've heard from this band. I thought I was listening to a Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! B-Side. That being said, I think that Resolvent Feelings, Living A Lie, Always About You, When Push Comes To Shove, and Pretending are all excellent songs and could've been well-executed in the right engineering hands. Tom Denny is just a cunt for what he did to that album.

Garret from TCM was most likely featured on this. His singing is really unique and distinct, plus even the lyrics he sang in this song are lyrics from Know Hope. "I didn't choose this, I was chose". Whether he wrote the guest part or just sang on it, I'd be seriously surprised if he wasn't featured on this. I might be wrong so don't start being cunts

@Roberto Nieves I can understand if you dislike these bands, but saying they're bad is profoundly ignorant. I Killed The Prom Queen and Architects are classic bands with excellent pedigree, Prepared Like A Bride's "Overcomer" is a fucking inspired masterpiece, and For the Fallen Dreams are finally coming into their own. I think it's an excellent time to be a metalcore fan. I'm sorry if you dislike the music, but I find it difficult to objectively say any of the bands I mentioned are mediocre musicians, songwriters or performers.

I feel like the band is releasing singles that sound like they could be taken from (or added to, technically) each of their albums.

Substance - Changes
Emerald Blue - Relentless
Dream Eater - Back Burner

This is just my opinion, but Dream Eater sounds like Back Burner more than anything they've released since that album.
And if my theory is true, I'm not too excited for their 4th single that'll sound like its from Wasted Youth.

As much as i liked Dylan in the band i also enjoyed Chad. This is probably the best stuff he is putting out with this band. Dylan's cleans were good and all but this is more unique and not as much cleans and more screams. Much better sound i say.

awesome, happy for ftfd to creating stuff that's fresh and original (not that they ever haven't). the snare-chorus at the end is really awesome, definitively a unique touch. can't wait for this album to release!

Lol to everyone saying this is generic. They released Changes in what, 2003? They've been doing it since 2003 so they're not the generic ones. Back then they were doing this and it changed the scene. It's not bad, I'll still listen to it but Changes will always be the best.

Other than that i agree, this is FTFD's typical sound back again after 2 albums, which completely satisfies me.
