I myself love and enjoy almost all of the songs from this album, but there is just Something So extra Moving and Beautiful in this Song that seems to expose the even Softer Side of the"Foo Fighters!"
They will always have my undying respect!

This is an epic tune... and the album is his best, it is a collection of songs he developed during a 5 years period of time that is very well curated... But he said he doesn't want to play in a 90's grunge band for the rest of his life...

I know what you are saying about hipsters, especially the ones who weren’t around to buy the album. They probably have a cheap Chinese vinyl pressing incorrectly sourced from a CD for $30. I wouldn’t trash the newer material, I thought wasting light was very good. But, this album was the best.

Lol soz but no. My 46 year old actually prefers their older stuff. That doesn't mean I don't like their new work, but you really should stop trying to generalise. It's not a good look.

Dave played most of the instruments on this album himself. This song is so raw and powerful I love it. I just wish he had not become such a boring, Best Of You sell out, predictable average Joe friendly, rock star (who can't sing live, but is a admirable session drummer).

This album to me is much better than any of their other stuff. It had a real raw and fresh sound. I think Pat Smear's playing and style stands out a bit more on this one as well.

This is Dave's best album he ever wrote! <3 Pure grunge. The real Foo Fighters. He should have recruited Dale Clover for good after William Goldsmith's departure (William was their best drummer) and Dale would have been great in Foo Fighters. <3

Their best album...well...his best album because he played all the instruments for this recording except for a small guitar part. And no none of these songs would've been good Nirvana songs...they are so much better than that.

Some of their newer efforts were ok but I feel they have become a little to commercial for my desires, #1 was their best album hands down, the sound, the energy, the mood, ect.

You must not have listened to much Incubus to say they did nothing that good. You should give them a little more time and try different albums. They've released alot of material and some of it is just straight up epic.

I can't wait to see these guys in December, and Dave did play all the instruments, recorded and sang all the vocals on this album, except for the guitar on x-static (played by Greg Dulli). The album versions ARE all Dave except (as mentioned earlier) for the guitar on x-static, recording and all.

foo were the greatest band ever back then. sometime around 2001 they got this idea in their heads that they had to start playing nu-metal to stay on the radio... wtf were they thinking. Radio? What a bunch of assholes. This album mattered.

I used to absolutely love this song and the whole debut album when I was 17/18 and still do. Listening to it here brings back many happy memories. My other favourites from the album include 'Good Grief', 'X-Static' and 'Exhausted', all fucking banging tunes.

Fucking love this album... Grohl MUST be god, no regular human can make something like this by himself!
