John wrote this song if you watch legends basically it’s about him leaving the band or the record company taking his friends / band mates and his own brother! John got hosed big time!!

Fogerty was only 23 when he wrote this song and any later problems with the band he brought on himself with his greed and control issues.Who could blame his band mates for becoming annoyed and want some say when he would sneak into the studio at night and redo their parts to suit himself.All comes back to him.

You said Bruse he wrote all the songs not just Lodi but all of them !! John didn’t even play ccr songs for years after they broke up. And as far as him sneaking into the studio to change things on the songs he did all the producing of the music so it is in his right to do so.

Of all the live versions I have heard so far (on YouTube) this one is the best. A fucking cracking rendition of a great rock song.

Saw this guy live 10 or 11 years ago and it was one of the loudest shows I've ever been at. I don't know if it was on purpose or if they didn't dial it in right going from a stadium to an arena but John's amps were set at 11 that night.

CCR was the small time band though only now that we enjoy their music compared to the heavy metal bands like Grand Funk, Uriah Heep, Deep purple, black Sabbath etc.
