This album contains one of the best drumming performances of 80's-90's thrash metal. I actually like the mixing because it kinda gives that DIY record feel. Sound wise it feels more like a crossover band like DRI...
Totally feel the same! Took me a while to warm up to the songwriting on this, but I did. I loved the drumming and drum sound straight away, though! An original, challenging record.

the problem with this band are the vocals...
+DakotaRogers I know...but I think those vocals even when are well done... do not match the music...that's my point not if he is good or bad vocalist...
mummifiedcr I totally understand why someone would feel this way. But, I'm just not of the belief that Thrash bands should all have some guy trying to sound heavy and tough. I GET IT...totally... Hetfield, Araya, Anselmo, Bush---all bad ass! Heavy, aggressive vocals that marry well with the aggressive guitars. But, I also appreciate something that's a little less generic and predictable. Clean vocals (from a real singer) on top of aggressive music is a sound I enjoy too. There's no right or wrong. Just personal taste.

The mixing ruins this album...
Actually, I take that back... The mixing could be better, but the entire album is a lot better than I originally thought. Not a classic like their previous two, but still great.
@Avatar Korra You were right the first time, this sounds like a demo. The bass stands out too much, and the guitars sound awful! F&J made a greatly produced album in '92 with Cuatro, and '95's Drift was good, but I recently (like about 6-7 years ago) bought their '97 album High, and it was shitty, demo quality production as well.
