Flock Of Seagulls, A - Cosmos (The Effect Of The Sun) Lyrics

When the sun is in the sky
Open your eyes, but you can't see anything (can't see anything)
Your heart is too blind; there's no plan advise (plan advise)
You're underrun
Or is it the effect of the sun
Effect of the sun

When the moon is on the rise (moon is on the rise)
Turning the time brings the teardrops to your eyes (teardrops to your eyes)
How do you fly, while the days just stand still (there's no time to kill)
There's no time to kill
Or is it the effect of the sun
Effect of the sun
Effect of the sun
Effect of the sun

[Spoken:]
Overhead
There's flashes of lightning
Sun pieces
Speed setting normal, anyway?
Tanja monkey, I don't want you to freeze my house
On the intended fast speed, you need to wrist strap me
My place

There is a need for war
Quick quick dear
There is a need for war
We're ready, if we go to war
My place
Harm the sun, to fight the car
Off center
Oh come on, I don't have time for this
Are you gonna get on here at all?
There's flashes of lightning
Sun pieces
I knew everybody was bringing flying saucers
I was working on mine

Ooh the moon is getting gray (it's getting dim)
Open your eyes, but you can't see anything (can't see anything)
How do you fly, no regrets, no escape
No release, no return, no goodbye
(My place)

The effect of the moon is pretty brown (it's very different)
Open your eyes, but you can't see anything (can't see anything)
How time flies, no regrets, no escape
No release, no return, no goodbye

Bye bye (bye, wo oah)
Bye bye (bye, wo oah)
Bye bye (bye, wo oah)
Bye bye (bye, wo oah)
Bye bye (bye, wo oah)
Bye bye (bye, wo oah)
(Shoot, because it's in our range)
Bye bye (na na na)
Bye bye
(The effect of the sun)

  1. B.... ....

THE EFFECT OF THE SUN SIMULATER.

Against the wishes of Frank Maudsley and Ali Score, Mike Score nixed this song for "Love on Your Knees." In 1985, he was still laboring under the misconception he was going to be a worldwide pop star for years to come. It was one thing to say he was giving up Sci-Fi for romance. It was another to write a crummy pop/funk song about getting oral sex from a teenage girl, like Rick James, Bi-otch! As their biggest fan in 1983, I hoped their next album would expand on the inchoate prog and industrial elements on "Listen." But Mike said, "We don't want to become the next Hawkwind." I sure wish they had done exactly that. In any case, he was not destined for anymore "mainstream" stardom. He just couldn't accept that his 15 minutes were up after "The More You Live" failed to crack the Top 40. I saw him and the Fake Flock in Boston in 1988, and at that point, even I had to say, "What a fucking joke!"

love on your knees is a cringy song like

  3. S.... T....

a perfect track to continue the Vice City arc

  4. B.... H....

Mike Score could have transitioned into new age/ambient music.

  5. k.... ....

Mike Score does to this day score a string of fine atmospheric instrumentals.
