Flock Of Seagulls, A - Committed Lyrics

Take your time for book changing before rearranging
Don't you know that it's cold in here
It's been a long time since I've heard from you there
Let me tell you about the place I live
Four walls and a wooden fence
I get a letter from you every week
You want to tell me it's a recommence
When you're committed there's a hole in the wall
Committed
And I'm bustling it all
Committed
There's a hole in your head
Committed
Makes me wish I was dead
Every day I walk in the field
I see the grass and the trees so real
I look up at the sky so blue
I wonder why I never hear from you
Well I'm committed
There's a whole in the wall
Committed
And I'm bustling it all
Committed
There's a hole in your head
Makes me wish I was dead
Every day I exercise
In a yard with a big high wall
There's a man with a nice green coat
He gets his pencils and he makes a note
And I'm committed
There's a hole in the wall
Committed
And I'm bustling it all
Committed
Like a hole in your head
Committed
Makes me wish I was dead
Committed
Committed
Committed
Committed
Committed
Committed

    best Flock song

  8. m.... ....

This is easily my favorite song from A Flock of Seagulls.

  9. V.... ....

I could imagine the video for this song featuring Mike Score in his prime wearing a strait jacket and singing this song in a rubber room along with his fellow band members. Anyway, this version's not bad, it's just got a lot of junk added in the middle to pad it out.

Man!!! I haven't heard this since 1983 on K-ROQ!!! Southern California's rock of the 80's!

This is Flock of Seagulls??? Holy S..t---I never knew that. Heard them on KROQ plenty of times back in the day. Kroq used to be so awesome....but now its like an oldies station, still playing grunge. Bummer.

    @Moses Berkowitz
I was a fan of that station too. Now my primary station is KCRW. You can tell some of Dj's listened to KROQ too..

    Everyday I exercise
In a yard with a big high wall
    There's a man with a Naisten coat
He gets his pencils and he makes a note

And I'm committed, there's a hole in the wall
Committed and the buzz of it all
Committed like the hole in your head
Committed makes me wish I was dead

    k.... e....

"and the price for it all"

    k.... e....

or it sounds like, but doesn't make as much sense: "And the price (or prize) FILL it all"

    k.... e....

see, something fills the hole in the wall the same as it fills the hole in your head, but what that something is .. indecipherable. I think the word I'm hearing as "price" or "prize" is more likely a plural - a word ending in "s".
