This magical piece of music has been one of my favorites since it ushered me off to Dreamland late one night 44 yrs ago. I also love the title song, and , "Woman of a Thousand Years". Masterful!

This sounds like quite a few modern indie bands. Only indie bands just imitate this classic stuff.

I used to think the dead were god’s favorite band but now that I’ve gotten deep into the history of this band I’m starting to rethink that. PG and DK are now easily two of my favorite guitarists of all time.

Danny Kirwan's signature composition, in m opinion. I don't like how the song starts however, that slow & low fade in, I'd ignored this track for many years because of it. But once it gets going, there is no other. Even Christine McVie had mentioned this as one of the best Kirwan tunes.

I purchased this album (the green cover) on vinyl during my first euro trip, Ireland to be specific. A lot of Fleetwood fan's are mostly fond of Rumours (I'm assuming and generalizing) but Future Games is my all time favorite with Kiln House and Then Play On pulling in at #2 & #3.

How about bare trees?

A lot of Mac fans are missing out if they think Rumours was their first album.

There's nothing wrong with the Stevie Nicks, Top 40 stuff. . . . But this is MUCH, MUCH better.

It's a shame that so many people bypass this era. The music/melodies/guitar very intricate and interesting. It still sounds fresh and unique today.

Danny Kirwan is one of the artists whose work is now written in my soul. I couldn't get this album off my turntable when it was released. It was also when I was first meeting my Bride of 31 years, and it "felt" special. Danny's Fleetwood Mac was perfect for the times. Purple Dragon blotter, anyone?

A real masterpiece of a pop / rock song.

Last month (June 2018) my copy of Future Games got jammed in my Jeeps CD player. It has been playing on repeat since. Now I understand why, as I have just learned of Danny's passing. Gonna drink to you at band practice, good sir.

As much as Peter Green was the initial mainstay of Fleetwood Mac, Danny was right there beside him. Dig all his work...!

RIP Danny Kirwan. He was really the heart and soul of this band in this period, and his songs and his voice and guitar playing are just phenomenal. So sadly underrated and underappreciated.

Goodbye for now Danny. Your talent meant so much to us. May you now have the peace that you so desperately longed for in this life.

One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite albums...ever! It's a shame life had to deal Danny a bad hand, but he left us some beautiful music to remember him by, and he will never be forgotten by those of us who appreciate some of the most sublime rock and blues ever recorded. One of the most special musicians of our time has passed, being barely noticed by many....We love you Danny and as I was blasting this song on the car stereo singing along at the top of my lungs yesterday...I wondered if it was too late to meet him wherever he was sequesterd and tell him he was not forgotten...( my youthful aspiration)....And to hear he passed today was a bit too much....Intense and misunderstood(while in F.M) you and your music has enriched many lives around the world

This song is a true classic. Kirwans "lilting" riff before the final vocals segment is something I have found magical since the albumen debuted (1970?). As I meandered through the confines of SF State from '67-'72 I saw guys like Kaukonen, Garcia, Cippolina and other folks who seemed to have reached the level of master guitarists while still in their 20's. Kirwan is in that rare group of musicians who could only have peaked because of the "cultural climate" of that era. And, yes, you heard right: it was a magical time like nothing else I have experienced in my almost 70 years .
