There really isn't one weak track on this album, mostly hits. I think what held Mirage back was the buttoned up pop sound. Fleet fans wanted more edge

Yes. Plus it helped keep them relevant in the early MTV era!

I can see feeling that at the time, especially coming off an eclectic juggernaut like Tusk. But now, it's the magical pop melodies and harmonies that are missing today and this gem of an album captures that aspect of Fleetwood Mac really well. In other words, I bet it sounds better today than maybe it did then. I wouldn't know for sure, I was 6 when it came out.

All I know is it sounds good.

I thought this song was written for one of the beach boys who had drowned. May be why it has that 60s feel.
