Fleetwood Mac - Empire State Lyrics

New york, open your eyes to me
Let me be what I want to be
Tell me, tell me it's not too late

Big apple, takin' a bite of me
Whole world movin' below my feet
Not like, not like we do in l.a.

New york, make me a part of you
Straight, straight through the heart of you
Tell me, tell me it's not too late

Flying high on the empire state
Flying high on the empire state

New york, watch me burn ya down
Straight, straight through the heart of town
Tell me, tell me I'm not too late

Big apple, takin' a bite of me
Whole world movin' below my feet
Not like, not like we do in l.a.

Flying high on the empire state
Flying high on the empire state

This is a straight Lindsey Buckingham tune, could easily have been on one of his solo albums, great song!

CONSCIOUS MICHAEL I don't know about love. Somewhere between the making of Tusk & this album someone told Lindsey about the unseen & the real world, & how things really are-- & it fucked him up pretty badly. All of his songs on this album are ones of longing for innocence lost, & love that can quickly become lost; Can't Go Back(he's a fairly young person at this point in his life, to pine for the person he used to be. And 'she ' as being the Dream Maker, dreams being illusions, or delutions- and the lyric about the tear in a glass eye is a Masonic refrence, & his can't go back connects to Peace Keepers some 20 years later(can't go back on the plans we've made)? The the ominus tone to Oh Diane(of the Diana, Kali, Columbia, Isis, etc., Female warrior/destrutive goddesses- some of death, that are supported by the male slaves to her w/ the be hive mentality, Such as the lyrics will you love me? Always, & will you stand, by me? Again answering yes/always. But this is not a vow of love, because he's says right after that love is like a grain of sand(another Masonic reference), and that it slides thru your hands-- meaning it can be fical, lost, & possible Not Always Enough. So he's speaking of a vow made in the name of something more powerful than mere love-- it's like a pact/ worshipful tone in my opinion. It's not a happy cheery love song at all-- it's a vow & commitment. And wow, Empire State is wrought w/ empendibg sacrificial violence & to me a blatent refference to the upcoming destruction to New York. I was told by a high ranking warlock that their plans had been pushed back by G.H.W. Bush because he wanted to make sure both of his sons could play a part of the satanic rituals, and the Rockefellers had to move the arches so the towers would be see all the way to the ocean, And when I say both of his sons meaning G.W. Bush, & William Jefferson Clinton-- for his being a bastard child, someone sure gave him a regal, presidential name huh? And he was adopted, & someonr powerful guidedhis life to become selected to be president? Andway Lindsey's says Apple. Taking a bite of me. And especially the lyric 'New York, watch me burn you down/ Straight, Straight thru the Heart of Down Town!/ and he's talking about AN AIRPLANE cuz he's flying above it in one!!! Crazy huh? What supposedly hit the Towers, which were the heart of New York? Air planes. And tell him he's not to late? He's a new initiate into this path, And Eyes Of The World he is speaking as newly indoctrinated one into the hidden knowledge, that it hurt him that it gets held back, as he isn't very happy with it, but you gotta join up, or your out-- My heat was breaking/ Ik tell you why. Back and forth the LIES unfurl/ in the eyes of the world(yep, another Masonic thingy) He became severely depressed, & very dark, during this period, as someone would if they just found out everything they know/were taught is a lie. I keep telling people that Lindsey's is a genius at telling a huge story w/ very few lyrics. In fact it's amazing it such a rare talent. Where as Stevie as great as she is needs a large amount of words & sentences to tell a small story. I met Linds in 93 as he came out of a radio interview. I asked if would mind signing some newspaper photos of him that I did up in a very neat, & cool way. He liked them a lot & we got to talking & it turned out my condo was next to his gig venue, so I pretty muchI hung w/ Lindsey for an entire afternoon, & some of his road crew showed at my place. Well even w/ all of this, we spoke nothing about the hidden meanings of any of these songs, so my observations could be wrong. I didn't do an official interview format w/ him(I being a free Lance writer at the time), we talked quite a bit about music thru out the day. He said he struggles w/lyrics because right after his initial idea for them, as he's working out. Melody lines & lines, suddenly his lyrics start 'shrinking', instead of most writers who lines expand. I said to him, that I get everything he is trying to convey-- Everything, in the open & the purposefully hidden. He says to me yeah? Every, everything? And I said without a doubt. He looks at me & says it's so hard to say something, hard & sometimes kind of. .. dangerous maybe for him & those around him.tho I no way to prove these things, I know that u am telling the complete, & honest truth. This guy is a master at the art of the lyrical excess, & every word counts, & can imply many meanings. I a talent, & an incredibly intelligent & gracious person he his......and rumor has it that sometimes WB's would send his supply of creativity blow to him via G.Gordon Liddy.... Think about that wacky shit..
