Flaming Lips, The - Turning Violent Lyrics
Turning violent
Tell me about it
Turn, turn around
You aren't violent
Don't turn violent, oh
Turn on and on
Turn on and on
Turn on
Turn on
Turning violent
Tell me about it
Turn, turn around
You aren't violent
Don't turn violent, oh
Turn on and on
Turn on and on
Turn on
Turn on
Turn on and on
Turn on and on
Turn on
Turn on
Turning violent
Tell me about it
Turn, turn around
You aren't violent
Don't turn violent, oh
Turn on
Turn on
Turn on (Someone watching)
Turn on (Turn and listen)
Turning violent
Tell me about it
Turn, turn around
You aren't violent
Don't turn violent, oh
Turn on (If you're violent)
Turn on (If you're sinister)
Turn on (There's someone watching)
Turn on (Turn and listen)
Turn on (Someone's watching)
Turn on (Try to listen)
Turn on (Turning violent)
Turn off

My fave song
I love this album. I've been a Lips fan since Bad Days 1995. This album moves me, it's amazing.
i miss kliph
Is the glitter party happening in the same room as the performance? I can't tell...
EDIT: Okay the Gates of Steel MV is in the same sitch and they're def in the same room
Genialidad.
so great
I'm gonna sound really hipster, but I love the Flaming Lips' aesthetic.
There's something familiar about their music. even when I hear a track I haven't listened to before it sounds like a song from my past. amazing writers, performers, and musicians. they are some of my favorite artists.
Well, some of their stuff almost has a 70s feel to it. (Race For The Prize comes to mind....................at least I think it's 70s-ish).
In an endless sea of media and entertainment I bumped into my buddy Moe.
the guitar playing is beautiful, great synths as well, why play synths any other way I say :)
Oh near to god or something near it, what where you ................................................... nice voice but guys.... very, very serious and oil and foil. Go for it .....big light....obv black and white T shirt. Cut out.
Lol what
the lead singers son is my best friend
I don't believe you.
Cvbhhhhh
That guitar sounds like a cat being strangled.
how do you know that? are you a cat strangler?
+Daniel Hernandez haha!!
@Daniel Hernandez he's THE cat strangler
I love how the lips evolve in every album and people think its bad well that's the point of being a say it with me now EXPERIMENTAL BAND
about 3:00 in I had to turn this shit off
Dude, abrasive sounds are the norm in indie. Look at some of Modest Mouses earlier stuff and that was some of their best work. This isn't even as abrasive as let's say parts of 'tiny cities made of ashes'. I don't understand how it's that difficult or even that harsh. How about Akron Family at their most chaotic or Jeff Tweedys guitar work in "At Least That's What You Said" (Ghost is Born) ? The abrasive element is part of what makes it so fucking awesome. Same with this. No drugs needed.
Really dude? Have you not listened to The Lips early stuff? Don't like The Jesus and MAry Chain I take it? Sonic Youth? Fucking Nirvana?
@Mattydigs best youtube reply ever. I never comment or anything but reading your reply gives me some hope that logic still exists somewhere out there in the sea human minds. Not even high and this shit sounds dope to me.
+toast1012 my ears survive from that without helps
The chaotic element doesn't resonate with you, then. That's fine. There's something inside of me--without drugs--that responds very strongly to that sort of semi-melodic maximalism. I love it and it gives me chills like an orgasm
that sickle and hammer shirt is rad as fuck
Wonderful track, it turns me violent ;-)
This song makes wanna do drugs
and thats a good thing
Danila Kostiuk how is that a good thing? You just sound like a moron for trying to glorify drug use.
Oh brother... you just to close minded
That was more of an expression,
People don't like the terror? Really? It's definitely in their top 5 albums for me
It's definately completely different to their other big albums. I don't mind The Terror, but as I only got into them the last couple of years, I wish they'd play stuff NOT from the last two albums! Yoshimi, Soft Bulletin, Sattelite Heart, and Clouds Taste Metallica are ALL seminal CLASSIC albums, how come we only get to hear a single or two off any of these any more!
@ArseLoad0fMetal666
Because they played those songs for many, many years. In some cases, a decade. I love Yoshimi battles the pink robots 1 too but i understand why they'd want to get rid of it after 10 fucking years lol
@Mattydigs lol I just discovered it THIS year (somehow)
Reminds me of the 60's. These guys are not music man
Mescaline
those who say that this is boring clearly doesnt know how to appreciate psychedelic/experimental music. The Lips are one of those bands that you either get or don't, and if you don't, just do us a favor and leave in peace and continue on with your quest for music that interests you.
Steve Burns & Steven Drozd play as Steve 'n' Steven. Very fun stuff indeed. You can find much of it on YouTube. Still hoping it's released in physical form.
Jesus. I'm a little disturbed by the negative comments here. A little bit of advice.
If you're a Flaming Lips fan, but don't like the new direction, how about offering some constructive criticism, instead of insulting them. And the comments by people who don't even like the Flaming Lips. What the fuck are you even doing here? I don't go to Miley Cyrus videos just to write negative comments. I just ignore it, because it's not for me. If you don't like this, then turn it off, and grow the fuck up!
No he's not. Steven Drozd has a side project with Steve from Blues Clues.
You guys and Tame Impala were amazing in Philly the other night. Seriously, the best live show I've ever seen. I agree with some of the other comments. Musically it's a spectacular live show. You gotta release a live album of this tour. I would totally buy the vinyl and listen to it religiously!
The most powerful song of the album.
Very good!!!
Very Floyd! In a great way!
nanggung bgt sih, i want more.....
eclectic
Anyone know the iPad app Steven is using on this track?
Since the Terror is more of a concept album I think they could easily set it to a film. If The Lips did a Christmas on Mars like film with live recordings from The Terror it'd be very cool, I'd buy it.
This is for all the haters out there this band kicks ass I had a chance to be there deck hand at rock for Oklahoma 2013 and they are the most awesome band you will ever meet they don't have egos the treat you just like the just another normal person.the hang out back stage ect there just fucking awesome as a band and as people
Don't turn violent, turn peaceful. The Truth will help you. Read The Present on TruthContestdotCom.
Steve from blues clues is in this band
wait, what does linkin park have to do with this?
Michael standing?!?!?
if you want to copy the old, do things new. This is fucking boring.
no drugs at all, just open your mind
Experiment!
Still badass, gentlemen.
The Flaming Lips have Blanded.
Cool story bro needs more dragons and shit
yep i agree, nobody can believe about this quickly. i know one thing for sure, even my friend also earning well monthly doing surveys and reading mails daily. if you wanna try just try now: bit.ly\1b05sed

Michael Ivins is such a badass
But these live versions are even cooler! He'll yeah!
Too effin' cool! Especially at 3:07. I love, love, love the album, but this
god, is that you?
Holy shit, the intensity at 3 minutes in.
The Terror live is much, much better. Release it live, guys!
You guys need to release a Terror live album. Man, I'd buy the hell out of that.
Dig it!
