Like Michael Lefeve pertinently said, this reminds of THE SOFT BULLETIN. And that's why i deem it one of the most interesting, nostalgic and moving songs on the album. I honestly consider it one of the best on the album, with notably ONE NIGHT..., which many appreciate as well.

The piano on this one is just magical... and honestly, i wish that OCZY MLODY contained a majority of traxxxx like this one here !

It took 2-3 listens but I've made up my mind that this latest Lips album is not only on par with Soft Bulletin and Yoshimi, but it actually slightly surpasses them because, for me, I don't find anything to get lulled with. It's all high quality classic psychedelic Lips with high re-listenability.

Great video!....Though, their new album has some very weak moments, THE STRONG moments are SOOOO DELICIOUS, that it may already be my favorite Flaming Lips album.

Steven Drozd son of polka king Vernon Drozd. He is my cousin and is the gift given so the Flaming Lips could shine righteously onto their people.

"How??" is the best of the tracks released so far (and has a GREAT video)... this one is decent, but is really weighed down by an awful video... as always, turn up the sound and turn off the TV!!

I don't think of it as going backwards so much as taking a different path. But that's just me. I would love to hear an Embryonic 2.

meh I don't ever see them going and redoing anything. that's what I like about them. sure, I enjoyed the darker period because I've always believed from adversity comes art. There was a deep sense of existential nihilism in those years from 2009-2011 and it comes out in the return to heavy guitar and weird timeshifts. I'll admit those were my two favorite records since the soft bulletin and priest driven ambulance.

I absolutely love Embryonic, one of their best albums definitely. I think the new album is pretty good but it always takes time to digest a new Lips album. I do think it's not sonically as strong as the last two albums, but I do kind of like the really explorative mood to it, a lot of the songs have a sort of fairy tale innocence to them (of course, Wayne swears here more than on any other album I can recall, so I guess it's more youth here than just innocence).

This is really nice on the ears first but then it slowly creeps into my mind as the song progresses to it's conclusion.

gorgeous. I get envious of song writing like this. it seems unconventional, yet it says everything emotionally and lyrically about love. it's more human this way

Pretty sure SeriouslyVegan is referring to the song Miley Cyrus and The Flaming Lips collaborated on (called The Floyd Song (Sunrise)), that shared the same melody and lyrics as the first verse of Sunrise (Eyes of the Young)... But yeah, definitely a Barrett vibe too, which I think Wayne even said about the record as a whole!
