Probably the past and about a person he wants to protect.

I would say it is about knowing the parts of you which are broken but not being able to get away from them. As well as the frustration which comes from hating those parts and the fear of knowing you're beginning to hate youself.

Hard to believe this came out a year ago. 5FDP has gotten me through some shit and continues to be one of my favorite bands ever

When I first heard the album I thought okay it's a little softer than used to hearing but his vocals and the songs are so much better than anything I've heard from them yet.

There is no band out today that comes close to them.

Man I love this song. For me personally it feels as if this song is like you trying to save yourself from yourself. It’s like yourself telling you to “run away”, “get away” and “leave me behind you” so that you can go forward. A lot of their songs help me out in so many ways, Love FFDP!!

Ivan NEEDED to write this album for his own sanity... 20 years ago I was in his shoes now, wondering through this world drunk, stoned & trashed 24/7. I'm now 42 & over the years have managed to get a grip on life & make something of myself with the HELP of my family and especially my beautiful, incredible wife of 17yrs. Best of luck to Ivan on his journey, may he come out on top as I did, with less scars.(external and otherwise)...
