Fitzgerald, Ella - Dancing On The Ceiling Lyrics

The world is lyrical
Because a miracle
Has brought my lover to me
Though she's some other place, her face I see
At night I creep in bed
And never sleep in bed
But look above in the air
And to my greatest joy, my love is there
She dances overhead
On the ceiling near my bed
In my sight
All through the night

I try to hide in vain
Underneath my counterpane
But there's my love
Up there above
I whisper, "go away, my lover
It's not fair"
But I'm so grateful to discover
That she's still there
I love my ceiling more
Since it is a dancing floor
Just for my love

    Amazing Ella

    Just a magical song.

... and who changed the lyrics to suit his or her sexual whatevers. Ella is singing about her lover boy, her man, and not about her woman lover. Come on, but this is borderline breach of copyright, and not okay even given the extent of poetic license in 2018. For those who like this old song, please note the changes and attend to the clarity of Ella's clarity here?

Bruce Kehl I've just erase the lyrics so you can enjoy and focus fully on the wonderful voice of Ella ;) thank you for noticing my mistake :) Have a nice day !

That was more than noticing human error, it was an outrage toward it and other qualities. Unnecessary conflagration.

@Bruce Kehl fuck off Bruce, just enjoy the music. Hart wrote the lyrics about a woman, if Ella changed them, which she often did when it came to interchangeable pronouns, then there’s no reason the author of this video should have to change the lyrics also. I suggest you go boil your head.

    Best wishes, Patrick
