+Brandy Garner I would like to thank you for showing an amazing cover, I will admit that though I was wary at first due to the hello operator cover thankfully this version was breathtaking. I do find though that it equal to Miley Cyrus's only because it evokes a different type of desperation. I find Cyrus's cover evokes a sense of pleading desperation even better than the original where as the under the black light pool version from the white stripes us more of a realisation of futility and a final collapse in desperation.

+Alex Parker I agree it's not the usual pretty voice singing it but it got me super excited when they start hitting hard with it. I've listened to that one by the White Stripes for years and just found this cover by Fiona, whom I've loved for years and yet I'm convinced Miley's voice was made for this song.

I think they meant as no longer in terms of out there, fame wise. Real artists are so rare and have to be hunted for because we no longer provide a platform for them for the most part. It seems as though art is dying and so we're killing artists subconsciously.

All I can think of is that they're dumb, yes, but also that she did such a good job emulating Dolly you can hardly tell Fiona covered it. And while the 1000 to 1 ratio is incredible, I still agree with you. But, there are still people who'd eat McDonalds. :)
