I only have this to say to those who wish he'd stayed in Busted, money and fame can't buy you happiness or fulfillment. Fightstar might not be as popular or famous McBusted as they're now known (another Con set up by PR people working within the music industry) but Fightstar are a million light years the better band. Busted where just a stupid Pop group for kids to like, if you're over like say 16 and still listen to them there must be something wrong with you. There's an old saying Shit sells and Christ all mighty Busted have sold bucket loads but this doesn't mean it's good. Charlie was wasting his talent in that band, he is happier in Fightstar making less money because he is making more creative music and not nursery rhyme Pop.

I don't mind their song Year 3000 but the rest of their stuff was awful, a manufactured and watered down version of Pop-Punk which in itself as a genre was a bustardized take on the original Punk concept. They where like a fake Blink-182.

Just read a comment about how Charlie made more money in Busted so he should go back to that band.. Just because he earned more money in Busted does not mean he has to go back. At the end of the day, most people make music not because of the money, but because of their love for music. If he really cared that he is not making as much money, then he would have gone back to Busted, but he has not because he clearly does not care about the money he earns.

@Jordan Turner Chaz has never been one to give a shit about what anyone else thinks of him(he has made that VERY clear over the last decade). He wanted out of Busted originally because they were viewed as manufactured(which wasn't true) and not creators of their own songs. Charlie also very much hated the strangle hold the record label had over them and how the pop media portrayed Busted. He hadn't yet been able to express himself or his creativity through his music and so Fightstar was born and he ultimately left Busted. Charlie has proven himself as an outstanding and incredibly diversified musician since originally stepping away from Busted. He can do whatever he wants now to be honest - the opinions of those who slag him at this point are absolutely irrelevant. If you want to label him a sellout then shame on you - Fighstar will make more music and it will be epic, because Charlie is epic.

James Bourne didn't disappear, he was in Son of Dork. They released a couple albums, actually had a little more success than Matt's solo stuff, and I'm fairly certain that their song "Ticket Outta Loserville" charted over here. He's also got a couple of solo songs knocking about here on youtube.

It amazes me people still talk about busted in relation to charlie, just go and listen to deathcar, wheres the money lebowski, avenue of heroes, damocles. Just to name a few and try and compare those songs to anything busted produced. Its a completly different genre that charlie was always more interested in but was young and busted took off. Another point is that Fightstar have been together longer than busted by 2 years which makes people still talking about it idiots.

They ALL left to do different things - not just Charlie. One other member is in an alternative band and the other had a small solo career.

Why is everyone going on about busted? Yes they were great and I too cried when they split but Charlie wanted to perform rock from the start, and Matt went solo and did some great stuff too. It's only the other guy who disappeared but he went into an entirely different career. Busted was just a stepping stone for all of them, splitting was a mutual agreement, it wasn't all Charlie's fault. So shut up and get over it, this news is older than my sister ... Fightstar are an incredible band, the musicianship is so underrated. the drummers incredible and brings a more progressive, heavier sound in some of their other stuff and his technical ability is incredible, the guitar riffs are tight as fuck through out all their songs, all the sound effects and engineering are perfection and
Charlie's wide range of vocals sais it all, his ability to be able to sing such a variety in styles of music is some seriously talented musicianship.
