+momeraths To be honest, I don't think they were going to be doing all that much more on this album cycle anyway. They've all been saying in interviews that Fightstar's a passion project for them now, not a full time thing. I think they'll be put on hold a little more but I'm not sure it'll affect what they would have been doing all that much - I was only expecting the odd tour in the next couple of years anyway.

I feel like they were probably going to be having a couple of years off anyways after this album cycle.

I think Alex and Dan were probably going to do more Gunship stuff and I think Charlie's initial plan was to make another solo record, so the fact that it's now Busted instead (Which I'm actually quite happy about) won't have changed much.

In fact, the Fightstar Facebook page said the day after the Busted announcement that it changed nothing in regards to them.

Yeah. I think the breaks they take in between albums is great. It keeps them interested and the best ideas come when you take time away from something I believe. It may take a while but I'm sure Fightstar's next album will be a belter too!

this might be the single most kick ass come back, since slipknot's all hope is gone comeback. i also really like the light synth elements, reminds me of take to the skies by enter shikari. i'm honestly very excited for this album and i honestly think i doubted these guys re-grouping when i shouldn't have. my apologies charlie, alex, dan, omar... thought you guys were gonna hit the sell out button and turn into some busted shit.

Oh yes.

Grand Unification is hands down a masterpiece of music and i listen to it regularly to this day. Loving fightstar since the beginning. Excited to see where this project goes

I was never really skeptical of Charlie leaving busted to join a rock band, It was obvious that he was the talented one, I wanted to see what he had to bring to the rock scene. Oh and this song is awesome

I just wish the synth that plays the arpeggios was more defined and not lost in the mix when playing middle notes.

people constantly with this "dude from Busted" crap. Busted were a good band end of. You metal heads who love metal and hate everything else need to open your minds a little bit. Charlie has carved out a nice little place in the music industry. The guy can do anything and I'll always be a fan no matter what genre of music he choses to follow

dude Busted where not and I mean where NOT!!! a good band, you can't be serious right? Fightstar are musically, creatively and material wise way more advanced. Charlie knew they where rubbish and only appealing to the lowest common dinomenator like Smash Hits mag and all the kiddies, that's why he left them to pursue more serious music, there's nothing wrong with Busted for abit of fun but there's nothing right about them as musicians or singers (except for Charlie himself of course)! I'm not even particularly a Metal Head but I LOVE everything that Fightstar have done because they throw in all sorts of elements into their sound from synths to orchestral Prog-Rock to Indie/Pop melodies. There's something for everyone in this band even though they're generally considered a Post-Hardcore band, which is effectively melodic hard rock, like Nirvana but with drop-tuned Metal settings on most of their guitar riffs except the mellower songs.

+Adam Knight yeah I know how good Fightstar are. I just strongly disagree about the Busted comments but everyone is entitled to their opinion (even on the internet where there are no place for them).First of all I wanted to hate them but from the moment I heard Palahniuk's Laughter I was hooked! Charlie has been my favourite musician for the last ten years

This is really weird, you guys went on hiatus, for what feels like forever, and in the last few months I've been re-listening to all the ep's albums, singles etc, fucking loving every second of it, and then only now do I find out you guys are back, and with a killer song, and album to come. I actually am beside myself with joy :)

Just leave it to the guys of Fightstar to consistently deliver. Never once have I been disappointed; taken aback – at times albeit pleasantly – but never disappointed. Behind the Devils Back is certain to be another Juggernaut, both among their ever-growing catalog of material and the releases of their peers.

And yes, that is a reference to Peripherys' latest release "Juggernaut". By no means is it a comparison of style or quality, it is one of scope; both are and will be monumental.
