Ferry, Bryan - Is Your Love Strong Enough? Lyrics

Just one step at a time
And closer to destiny
I knew at a glance
There'd always be a chance for me
With someone I could live for
Nowhere I would rather be

Is your love strong enough
Like a rock in the sea
Am I asking too much
Is your love strong enough?

Just one beat of your heart
And stranger than fantasy
I knew from the start
It had to be the place for me
Someone that I would die for
There's no way I could ever leave

Is your love strong enough
Like a rock in the sea
Am I asking too much
Is your love strong enough?

Is your love strong enough?
Just one beat of your heart
Is your love strong enough?
Is your love strong enough?
Is your love strong enough?
Is your love strong enough?
Is your love strong enough?

Just one beat of your heart
Strong enough?
Strong enough?
Just one beat of your heart
Strong enough?
Strong enough?
Just one beat of your heart
Strong enough?
Strong enough?
Just one beat of your heart
Strong enough?
Strong enough?
Just one beat of your heart
Strong enough?
Strong enough?
Just one beat of your heart

  34. J.... Q....

Only 200k views for this classic masterpiece no way....

  35. B.... T....

FYI the guitar that David Gilmour is playing in this video is a 1954 Fender Stratocaster with serial number 0001. Which doesn't mean that it was the first Strat ever made, but it was in the first batch of guitars that were given as gifts to people involved in their design and production. It is being sold via Christie's with a guide price from $100,000-150,000, but I think it will fetch much more than that..!

  36. b.... ....

    This is beautiful and perfect.

  37. M.... L....

    Greatest Films ever.
4 people didn't like this ? This is classic. What a song. Timeless. Gets better over the years.

  60. c.... ....

Lost End Credits song? This is not lost. This is in the movie and on the soundtrack album.

  61. J.... S....

The 80s were absolutely perfect for music that took moods into consideration. There was nothing like it. It just felt like no other decade I've tried to compare it to.... I guess I'm a bit bias being born in '79, but I don't really think it's me. And David Gimlour just made that guitar cry out in this. It just fit perfectly.

  62. D.... W....

    Great song.

  63. a.... s....

    Shouldn't,But i do ...Love it.x

  64. R.... C....

  71. N.... 9....

I lost count on how many times I’ve watched the movie and listened to this song.

  72. S.... L....

    У Брайана фантастически-невероятный и чудесный голос😍

  73. U.... D....

This video has aged well...…...I am surprised the song did not do that well back in the day.....but then again Bryan Ferry has never done that well......I always thought it was because he always looked a little older for the people watching the videos back then......

    U.... D....

USAF DIRT BOYZ not true roxy music was huge in England. Groups like Duran Duran and inx credited them as inspirations👈👍😎

  74. M.... S....

Bryan's melodic voice lends to this beautifully haunting masterpiece.

  75. M.... G....

I really like the music ... the words ... and the vocal melody ... delicate melancholy ... the video ... and the emotions I feel are so strong ... memories ... the time ..of now it does not belong to me ..

  76. D.... 2....

This is an amazingly beautiful song and is perfect!

  77. e.... ....

2 amazing powerhouses: Pink Floyd guitar god David Gilmour, and Roxy Music vocal(and sex)god Bryan Ferry uniting to make one of the most incredible songs in human history. The movie itself was pretty great( it was before Tom Cruise joined his looney cult and went off the deep end, so he could still kinda act), but the soundtrack? Now that was sublime, especially Jon Anderson(yes, THAT Jon Anderson of Yes fame) singing the track "Loved by the Sun" backed by the amazin Tangerine Dream, and, of course, the Ferry/Gilmour track. Music at its most melodic and hauntingly beautiful!

  78. L.... W....

I had no idea David Gilmour played on this song. Kinda makes me wanna see the movie now.

I think this was when Hollywood was starting to wonder about Sir Ridley. There are just some movies he does well in and others he doesn't. This, "Someone to Watch Over Me" and "Matchstick Men" spring to mind for the latter...

  79. L.... ....

    Very special...

  80. M.... ....

Remember when epic fantasy movies were exactly that and not a shit-show by (((Zack Snyder))).

  81. M.... p....

i Still fell so fucking young whith this song!

  82. C.... M....

Love the movie and this song

  83. L.... N....

This is by far my favorite movie! I love everything about it. So magical and beautiful!

  84. r.... ....

I lost my father to Alzheimer's last year. I was in jr. high when this movie came out and I haunted him to take me to see this flick for my birthday. It was bitter cold and only being screened at a dive in Crystal Lake, about an hour from where we lived. But he finally caved  and I think he enjoyed it as much as I did. We were the last two in the theater, listening to this song on the end credits.

    r.... ....

    That is quite beautiful.

    r.... ....

By the way if you watch the Directors Cut this song is removed from that version, awful!

    r.... ....

Crystal lake, Il??? I'm from Chicago,Il 💜 my dad has dementia. This is my favorite movie and song! I sat till the end too to hear the music 👍

    r.... ....

That's an awesome memory. It reminds me of one of the only bonding memories I have with my father when we saw the fellowship of the ring together.

  85. m.... ....

    I love this song!

  86. B.... L....

great song, brilliant Gilmour even, editing= shit

  87. D.... P....

This song belongs In a vampire movie

  88. C.... S....

David Gilmore loved him doing the guitar in this song good song.

  89. T.... R....

Memories of my childhood. MTV played the shit out of this one as I recall. As I had been a Pink Floyd fan already by 1985/86 (age 9/10) having all of the catalog from Dark Side forward plus the Works best of I remember seeing David played with everyone from Paul McCartney to Supertramp to Pete Townshend to Bryan Ferry, when I saw this video I said "David is playing that cool Fender guitar and beats playing that crappy headless guitars the other guitarists played".

  90. T.... L....

Movie was released when I was 13 which fuelled my imagination and transported me to another universe. Still glued to my seat as the credits appeared, this ethereal song took over and floored me just as much as the film. Both are timeless works of art and I was lucky enough to have felt their power at such an impressionable age.

  91. P.... L....

What an incredible voice, performer, actor .. for those who don't know B. Ferry .. look at what crazy stuff Roxy Music was doing back in the 70's lolllll .. Gilmour and Ferry were... a perfect match specially .. after Ferry's entered the 80's..... they were ahead of this for years.. ... lolll ... A Timeless Sweet Cake ;)

  92. E.... H....

Dear sweet Bryan Ferry...One of the most incredibly suave, daring, imaginative figures in popular music. I loved him in Roxy Music - anyone hanging around this thread, go listen to "Editions of You" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDXnbuUKEaA) A.S.A.P if you never have - I loved his early solo work - cf, "Don't Worry Baby" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NStxXnMrGJM), off the 1973 album *These Foolish Things* - and I love him here. Bryan's the best.

  93. C.... U....

Damn I was 9 years old when I saw this movie.and heard the soundtrack. Classic!!!!

  94. a.... s....

It's a strange song with lots of weird sounds going on.At first i hated it and now my favourite song.ps pants video though.

  95. J.... P....

Great Song and Movie, LEGEND, Classic 80's, And with Pink Floyd's Lead Guitar and vocals artist David Gilmour, AWESOME!

  96. p.... ....
