Ferras - Dear God Lyrics

In a sense, he is just angry with him. he doesn't have his faith that all is happening with a purpose. So he thinks God is against HIM. So he says, if you're real, then make something good happen. Not necessarily against him, just angry.

I see a lot of ignorance parading around the internet. YouTube is a conglomeration of great advice mixed with trash. Sort it out with patience, intelligence, and respect. You can't have greatness without failure. There isn't a person in this world that doesn't truely appreciate what they have without having to 'blood, sweat and tears' PAY for it.

You mean we'd never be tested? Friend, you don't know the meaning of pain. You cannot appreciate the sunshine without an occassional storm. You can't appreciate freedom without a bit of time in a cage. You cannot appreciate happiness without first knowing pain. My advice to you is to spend some time helping other people who aren't as fortunate as you. Learn the ways of the world before preaching about God's existence or non-existence. Give it a try.

I was talking about Satan. If you had any idea about the bible you would know that he's a fallen angel. So if Satan causes the bad stuff then god should just wipe Satan away and then we wouldn't face all this bad bull crap.

But the way I see it is that if he has omnipotent powers, then why doesn't he stop the bad stuff instead of just letting it happen. Omnipotent vs fallen angel I'm pretty sure should always end with omnipotent winning. Hmm. Guess not.

So while someone in Connecticut just got raped and then brutally murdered while walking home from a movie, a housewife in Washington just praised god for helping her get a stain out of her favorite blouse. Hmm, that works.

Um, it's basically like he took the lyrics from "Dear God" by XTC, switched them around a little, and added different music. I thought it was gonna be a cover at first.

personally i like the one from the sxsw performance, piano acoustic, but this is still my fav song.. awesome lyrically :D

I like most of Ferras's songs on his CD but I can't stand this one. He's going to sing about why god won't send his grace down? While cussing? I don't take it against him, beause I know he didn't write the songs, it's just. Ugh.
