Feeder - Sunrise Lyrics

I don't want to be the one who sleeps alone
I don't want to feel this emptiness surrounding me, no place to go
I don't want to walk along these streets alone
I don't want to turn my head around
And feel that there's no colour anymore

Moving to the left - where should I go
Moving to the right - Soho side shows
People come and people go
Moving to the left - all they ever wished for
Moving to the right - in this life is still insight

Everywhere I go, places that I know
Summer is alive (Look into the light)
Rising from below - sunrise
The city is awake, ready for the day
Summer is alive (Look into the light)
Always... sunrise

I don't want to be the one who fights alone
I don't want to wake and feel that there's this silence
Now the love has gone
I don't want to be the one who cries alone
And I don't want to be the one who falls
And wonders where it all went wrong

Moving to the left - where should I go
Moving to the right - Soho side shows
People come and people go

Everywhere I go, places that I know
Summer is alive (Look into the light)
Rising from below - sunrise
The city is awake, ready for the day
Summer is alive (Look into the light)
Always... sunrise

As a crowd gathered across the road
Looking up to a man on a tightrope
There's a woman selling autographs, says that they're original
How would we ever know?

Sunrise
Everywhere I go, places that I know
Summer is alive (Look into the light)
Rising from below - sunrise
The city is awake, ready for the day
Summer is alive (Look into the light)
Always... sunrise
Sunrise

Feeder Sunrise Comments
  1. Ben Hobson

This must be the most anthemic chorus sine Buck Rogers!

  2. Lewis Aquilina

i find this one to be overrated. lyrically about as dull as find the colour, but not as refined or uplifting. odd single choice that was too; marring my favourite feeder album, slightly.

  3. Ross Bushby

    Agreed...philistines! :-)

  4. dan griff

Anybody think the intro sounds like Where is My Mind? by The Pixies

  5. streamleazefishhouse

Renegades was awesome! But I prefer old style feeder stuff from swim and Polythene and Renegade put me back there. This new album I feel is there under parr to date. But this song in excellent.

  6. Guy's Spaghetti

I suppose it all comes down to opinions, but I loved Silent Cry. I couldn't find a weak track on the album.

  7. Muritsmehle

Does anyone Know the Chords of this song? :D

  8. Benjamin Stahl

Renegades was alright but Silent Cry sucked, in my opinion. I have to say, I've been disappointed with their last few albums but this one sounds like a big improvement.

  9. Guy's Spaghetti

It's definitely one of their better albums. I'd rate it 3rd or 4th (Behind Echo Park, Silent Cry, Comfort in Sound and if you count it, The Singles :P).

I think they were panned just because they are an older band and the sound is more accessable, which is stupid when you look at the state of morden bands these days.

  10. AllisterCaine

    i totally agree!

55 out of 100 is sad.... this album stands right besides yesterday went too soon and echo park. to me it is something like 90 or so.... :)

  11. probie145

Reminds me of 'Where is my mind' by the 'Pixies'

  12. streamleazefishhouse

sorry it is at the bottom of the pile with pushing the senses. But I do think this song is awsome.

  13. Tom Boyle

One of my favourite feeder songs :) well done Grant

  14. jxg8521

It's disgusting to hear that the album is 55 out of 100. Against what? What music is out today that is real music by artists that write their own lyrics? Feeder is influenced by other artists but they are creative and very talented in a time where music is a market for profit rather than songs. This album has songs, and they're good songs. It's one of the best albums in a long time...

  15. Guy's Spaghetti

Yeah, the album has a 55 out of 100 on Metacritic which is disappointing.
I really liked the album and definitely agree that it is one of their best. I'd rate it in their top 4.

  16. TheCoralkid

great song , can't believe the new album got a generally luke warm response from critics , I think it's up there with their best
