Fates Warning - No Exit Lyrics
Under brooding skies and watchful eyes
On convulsive seas of false urgency
We walk empty corridors in vain

Fates Warning No Exit Comments
Epic album ahead of its time.
This is the last album that Fates Warning grooved.
1985-1988 Fates Warning is holy. Hard to imagine it was made by mortals.
The Classic Heavy Metal Vault 1989 - PERFECT SYMMETRY ❤️
Hope leads to quiet desperation
When reality obscures the dream
Makes the mind a grave of memories
That wander like the lonely breeze
Whose whispers echo through ruins rust
Of towers torn and dreams turned to dust.
Bradley Coates moves me to tears. EVERY TIME.
fucking hell, the 80's really had no limit for metal....... even if the metal ended entirely after the 80's, we would still have tons of great material to listen to from the greatest era of music........
the vocals sound very similar to G. Tate from Queensryche...... fuken love it !!!!!!!!!!
used to walk arounrd with my stereo blaster cranking this in the 80's good times back then with a the killer Metal this one being one of my favorites, but I own every album.
this is their best!!!!
Fates Warning are a band I always had huge respect for. This is the first album I ever heard from them, and it's beyond words. Thrash, power, progressive and classic heavy metal all together! Rightfully praised classic!
Heavy Metal extraño no lo demas
Alder in his prime >>>>>>> Arch
+KyleJPie10 that happens only in ur dreams..where everything is possible..!!!!
Ahahah, there is no contest, Arch is the only one!!!!
In A Word's my favorite on this album but I could put this on and just let it play through the whole thing and not be a bit disappointed at all. Guardian is my personal favorite though.
How the actual fuck do you go from having art like Awaken the Guardian to this fucking trash of an album cover
+Thatmusictool That is a very good question HAHA
awesome album...awesome band
Ótimo disco
a true masterpiece that stands the test of time
Ivory Tower of Dreams is a monumental opus. Exquisite musicianship. I saw them in 1989 the night before final exams at Naval Nuclear Power School. None of my shipmates were willing to go with me... What an awesome show it was! Got an A on the final. Epic time of my life.
My Fav Fates Album
jammed this album on a few cross country trips in the old car..
In the early 1990's the bands' name drew me towards them to give a listen, they did not disappoint, I love the guitars.
despite what the bullshit people say about this record, this Album is fuckin awesome smoke some fuckin weed to this... fuckin master piece
When I first heard Matheos rip that lead at 18 seconds into Anarchy Divine............man. Props to Ray Adler on this album. Sorry to see John go , but Ray really helped push them into their new direction.
Really is the Master of Puppets of it's particular genre. Guitar heads get it. The vocals scared off a few of friends back then. Listening to it 1100 times now....I think the vocals fit the songs. It's operatic in a lot of ways. Metal, of course, but is focused and composed.
@***** If I fail to like someone's comment I lack basic 'comprehensive skills'?
"comparison
kəmˈparɪs(ə)n/Submit
noun
1.
a consideration or estimate of the similarities or dissimilarities between two things or people." <<< While the first comment obviously wasn't designed to truly weigh the two against each other it is in fact a comparison. Perhaps you'd like to get over yourself now, then again you've had months to do it.
"lack of comprehension" << and my what a good song that is.
@***** fuck off, bitch
Tammi Lawless What a pretentious bitch you are. You didn't understand what that guy said. Plus you're fucking ugly and stupid, gtfo of here.
@***** I release two comments about the subject over a period of more than a year...you had posted 4 comments in a single day about it (one addressed to me.)...and another comment just a couple of months later......and now a further 3 comments. Who's really going 'on and on'.
There's nothing metal about what you asked me to do you wannabe.
@Anki Hansen At least your response wasn't quite as blunt as Jose's above. I'm surprised how much this escalated...I didn't think my original comment was rude enough to warrant these emotionally charged responses.
whispers on the wind, nuff said.
i had this tape in the eighties and tried to get others into it but it was over most peoples heads. still one of my faves and still play the tape now and again. i know tapes, lol.
this should have been the soundtrack to those piece of sht lords of the rings movies if Peter Jackson continued to be a good director like he was when he did great movies like Meet the Feebles and Beautiful Creatures. Best epic metal aside from Iron Maiden (at least the Bruce Dickenson albums.) What happened to this band?
Thing2> this the worst album art
Thing1> it is not good, I preferred the amateurairbrush horned whateverthefuck thing on Guardian
Thing2> FW youre good at your instruments but soundgarden is better hahaha
Thing2> connecticut is a great place for for liberals and cheese, is that what
I'm listening to
Thing2> fates warning sucks, I'm sorry they suck
Thing2> I am dissapointed in these guys, so much talent, so pointless
Thing1> hey it was a different time, we had computers that ran on disk drives and we begged for pictures of dicks off bulletin board systems
Thing1> this cost like hundred bucks as an import, uit came on a double CD with fucking Guardian hahaha
Thing2> OSI at least has kevin moore
Thing2> that guy is a ghoul
Thing2> or at least some kind of casper the friendly analog snthesist
Thing2> Matheos is npot even phoning this shit in he's faxing it in
Thing2> queensryche cover band
Thing1> I don't concur but I'm too exhausted from laughing
Thing2> this alder guy tries so hard and kevin moore is a bettr singer
Thing2> I'll mash the keys for emphasis
Thing2> BETTTTER SINNNNGGGERRRRRRR373u34tyjerguy
Thing2> I'd change the color but youtube comnments dont let me ahahahaha
Thing1> we'll just be in the back getting more drinks do you want a hearty ale
Thing2> step to the bar and draw me a tankard
Thing1> the joke police are trying to pull you over
Thing2> these guys are bowling pins. Fuck off, Ray Alder Sartre, go back to your community college
Thing1> This isn't a mark zonder joint this their old joke drummer
Thing2>I'd rather liosten to the youtube ad than these twits
Thing2> at least perfect symmetry is whiny and precise, dude can hit the skins
Thing2> these guys are sacred cows? then we;'re spraypainting spots on them
Best heavy-power album ever..Dream Theater would wish to have it on their resume..but they don't..!!!!
@***** I am with u sir..I bet Dream Theater like Fates and visa versa..what I said was for Dream Theater's fans, who hate Fates Warning..for obvious reasons..!!!
+Antony M those DT fans who dislike Fates humor me. James Labrie sang harmonies on "Life in Still Water" and the band's have toured together a couple of time. They have a deep mutual respect and are buddies.
+Brian Kunkle You couldn't be more right. They have credited each other on one of each of their albums. Dream Theater credited "Fatez Warning's" Parallels on Images & Words, and Fates Warning credited "Dream Theatre" on...I forget which album.
+Antony M - Mike Portnoy said several times Awaken the Guardian is his most favorite metal album ever. Mine too pretty much. As much as I love Ray Alder and all the albums with him, I still prefer early Fates with John Arch.
Perfection.
Bad Ass!!!
...rockin out with this album is one of my most fav things to do...(especially when im alone..cuz most people dont love to rock out like i rock out)
rockin & dancin. Fates Warning No Exit,,,,thats right,,Rebecca's Remedies!!
I rock out alone for the same reason. This album is a solid piece of Rock.
one of my favorites for sure remember when it first came out
This album, like Maiden's 7th Son, is one of those albums that MUST be listened to from start to finish if one is to truly appreciate its power and beauty.Jumping around from track to track totally kills the vibe of the album.
On 31:40 i've already searched for Mekong delta's Dances of death (song) But still i can not cut off this album. Realy a work of art, beauty, dedecation an craftmanship.
Yes it is. This album is a masterpiece!
Perfection
Con discos como este se pudo soportar la avalancha noventera.
Sick nasty wit' it! I'm in love with metal.
I remember when it came out!
The best album of the 80's IMO. Ya can't get anything better than "Ivory Gate",the ultimate metal tune!
Are you talking about Awaken The Guardian?
One of my all time favorites!
obviously you have a good taste sir! \m/
Ditto! I saw them last December and they were amazing.
