Fastball - Are You Ready For The Fallout? Lyrics
I was wondering how you're feeling
I thought I saw you kneeling
And holding your gut last night
It looked like you were praying
But I heard someone saying
You get the worst of it every time
Lashing out with no reason or rhyme
To lose all this rage, at so tender an age
Little baby growing up in a rat cage
Are you ready for the fallout?
Who you gonna call out?
When does it finally come to blows?
I think that you're forgetting
Has a price on it, no one knows
You may be suffering in your sleep
You may be getting in way too deep
And you may not care for advice that I share
If you want it then I'll be yeah there
Soon you will learn how to swallow a tear
So when you're old you can cry in your beer
Do you spit at the face staring back in the mirror?
Do you have any self respect?
Soon you will learn how to swallow a tear
So when you're old you can cry in your beer
Do you spit at the face staring back in the mirror?
Do you have any self respect?
Well what the hell did you expect?
Are you ready for the fallout?
Who you gonna call out?
When does it finally come to blows?
I think that you're forgetting
The blood that you'll be letting
Has a price on it, no one knows
You may be suffering in your sleep
You may be getting in way too deep
And you may not care for advice that I share
If you want it then I'll be yeah there
Are you ready for the fallout?
Who you gonna call out?
Are you ready for the fallout?
Who you gonna call out?
Are you ready for the fallout?
Who you gonna call out?
Are you ready for the fallout?
Who you gonna call out?

Came here for Varsity Blues! 2019🌊
Once I read the lyrics to this song I realized these guys are geniuses. Much more deep than most songs written.
Thank you Varsity Blues!
A song from Varsity Blues! Yeah Baby!
Tenho o Cd desde criança, Make your mama pround
I remember this with several other bands, such as foo fighters - my hero, greenday - nice guys finish last, and collective soul - long way to run, featured in the mix tape omps Varsity blues. That's when the first time i listen to this songs. And a couple minutes ago, i was boring so i play a couple songs back in the 90's and suddenly had a flash back about this songs. Time flies dude.
Tony Scalzo is a genius
I'm ready for fallout 76
I heard this when i was younger and it always gets stuck in my head and my daughter finally figured out it was fastball. Love this band and this song 🙂
When I look at this B&W why do I think if the WHO?
Theses guys remind me so much of Cheap Trick will all the talent. Go figure.
this should be a huge hit if there was youtube in 90's...nowadays even "cash me outside" girl and jacob sartorius have hits
@KnTCJG agreed, social media is making everything superficial, even talent, music, art

But I heard someone saying
You had been in an awful fight
You get the worst of it every time
Lashing out with no reason or rhyme
To lose all this rage, at so tender an age
Little baby growing up in a rat cage

This is like the early Beatles recording a song in the 90s 😄
Varsity Blues
20 years of Are you ready for the fallout? and still rocks!
Sounds like a Paul McCartney esq song.
es una elegancia de disco , are you ready for the fallout ??????? !!!1
This band is so underrated..
This song made it to the Top 20 in the most trendy radio in Uruguay! My sister was 10 or so by the time (now she's 29) and recorded it in a cassette straight from the radio. We played the song non stop without even knowing the name of the band. Then many years later we discovered Fastball because of MTV and 'The Way' so we bought their 2 albums and that's when we found out they were also the authors of this amazing song!!
Uruguay!
That is so cool, honey !
I can never get enough fastball
Varsity Blues!
back in the day.
