This album will always resonate with me as safe haven that I would frequently visit to find shelter from the harrowing effects of severe depression that I experienced for many years.

Even though I do not listen to Fallujah nearly as often as I used to, I will always have the utmost respect and appreciation for these incredibly talented musicians.

Something tells me that Undying Light wasn't the best album to get by these guys first.

Pro tip if anyone is still here. When listening to this. Don't turn the volume too far up. The wall of sound makes it sound really stuffy. Give it some space and use good headphones or good speakers.

Musically this album is spectacular and truly one-of-a-kind. Production-wise, it has the subtlety and nuances of a brick to the face. You pretty much have to go into it with a somewhat shoegaze-wall-of-noise expectation to actually appreciate it

why does everybody like this band so much? as far as death metal goes IMO Fallujah is incredibly uninspired and their riffs are shit at best. i keep trying so hard to like them but somebody needs to tell their lead guitarist that sustaining high notes for an extended period of time every other measure does not constitute a decent lead guitar player nor does using the very occasional prog riff make you either progressive or technical. I honestly feel like these guys are getting away with writing half a song and calling it good.

Grew up with the bands from the seventies in late 60s myself but I really love this album flesh prevails one of the best songs is at 23 minutes personally just like the way it's put together wish I had this type of music growing up but found it late in life due to my son's band he plays in a metal band I ended up hearing it by chance through him he seen him and Tampa and turn me on to it he knows I like Style music more than this stuff for my generation though I listen to some of the old school I enjoy the fast play of the guitarist

Hey, thanks, Yea they are good, Much more progressive(Dream Theatre is a benchmark I would use) than Fallujjah (rather than straight metal), though they are  similar.  Irronic as I have heard bands simlar with straight vocals from band like Contortionist and Tesserect,, who I dont like them much,, but this band is good.  Clearly the musicians have a really good thing going on and the vocalist has an exceptional voice. I will listen to more of their albums :) thx for heads up !

Ne Obliviscaris fucking owns! They only have 2 full length albums as far as I know, but they are both top notch!

Never been into death metal. I like this a lot though.

Nullingroots - Take Care is an exquisitely gorgeous melodic black metal album. It rings in my head for hours after listening. Their other albums are also very good, but so far "Take Care" is my favorite.

Maybe because it is progressive?

+QuantumxQueen Check out Death - The Sound of Perseverance. Kind old-school death metal (from 1998). A bit thrashy at times(not that that's a bad thing), but still fairly progressive and technical.

Misery index - the killing fields, and inferi - the path to apotheosis arch enemy - anthems of rebellion, are some of my favs.

I remember checking out this band since the singer was in a few of my high school classes, and it being just generic deathcore. Surprised to see they have actually gone to make something more unique.

First listened to this album I was doing "the taken King" quest line and it felt like I was in the game it self and was zoned out into the game and music

Meh....... Youtube is full of talent nowadays. Recording programs are free and EQ for you. This album is very muddy for my liking. And the singer lacks innovation. Very mono toned. sounded like if hate breed had good guitar players.
